Ban Tasteless Medal of Honor game?

British Defense Secretary Liam Fox has announced his disgust towards the game.
The Conservative politician has called for the “tasteless” game to be banned, saying, “It’s shocking that someone would think it acceptable to recreate the acts of the Taliban. At the hands of the Taliban, children have lost fathers and wives have lost husbands. I am disgusted and angry. It’s hard to believe any citizen of our country would wish to buy such a thoroughly un-British game. I would urge retailers to show their support for our armed forces and ban this tasteless product...what do you think?

It's only a game how do politicians get so worked up about it

as defence secretary I am sure he finds it far more fun pushing counters around a map and pretending that they ARENT real people whose lives he is playing with. REAL people are dying every day due to his decisions and those of his predecessor-and all he can do is squeak about a video game?

Will bet anything he has never seen the game, played the game or even been within 100 miles of a copy-it will just be something he has "heard" about-typical politician

****!

Im not anti british or anti muslim but i think "At the hands of the Taliban, children have lost fathers and wives have lost husbands" is a pretty stupid comment as the taliban are still (kind of) human beings with wives and children. Most MPs are very righteous. IMO

I think its distasteful to send REAL people to war. It would be much better if we could have wars online. I bet the taliban are pants at MW2...

Probably hasn't even seen the game, has no idea of the context, it's only a generic asian skin for a multiplayer character, why is it preferable to be able to kill "British Troops" with Americans or Russians?, not that there are any british troops in the game.

If the defence secretary Liam Fox has time to worry about medal of honor their cant be to much going on in the world……I bet EA will be happy for the free publicity of their new game.

the mans a buffoon! Cameron missed an excellent chance when forming the coalition to name paddy ashdown as defence secretary-would have been good for troop morale-think they would appreciate someone who had actually been in the forces and seen action making the decisions.
