Bank account for my little one.

Hey all,

Looking at getting my little Daisy (10 months) a bank account now seeing as her piggy banks are getting fuller than mine.

Are all the bank accounts for little ones the same or do someof them actually have perks?

Thanks for any advice :)

Don't go near the Asda one, say's in the small print, you might not get out as much as you paid in.

Her trust fund is sorted. This is just for a normal bank account.

My two boys have an account at Nationwide - Smart2Save, they offer fairly decent interest rates.

we found the trust fund **** because they automatically get the money when they are 18 - stuff that!

we have a kids account opened for her but in our control so she pays no tax on her interest but we decide when and how much she can have at any time - I'm not trying to be a control freak or anything but I'd have blown the lot if I'd been given cash automatically at 18.

We're with HSBC but all banks do them for kids.

worto.

remember the £100 interest rule on chidrens account or you may find they end up paying tax on their account at your taxation rate. See this:

Try Halifax Childrens' regular Saver with 10% interest.
