Checking my bookmarked campsites of one's i've used and been happy with, is one close to Blackpool.

Ther's not a whole lot on site to do, but Lytham St Annes is close by, along with Blackpool.

Try the camp site at Alwinton, Clennell Hall Riverside Holiday Park

Probably only an hours drive away and you're in the hills

Kielder's always a good place to go. We're off there with 3 kids and a dog soon after a strong recommendation from friends with their young kids.
