bank statements

i need some bank statements from early last year and was going to print them off but my online bank only goes up to june, if i was to go into the branch can they give you them there and then (i know they will charge me)as i need them for monday, i know you can order them online but they dont come very fast, thanks for any help.

In my experience they cant. That was Halifax and Natwest could order them in the branch but it would take a few days to arrive. There was no charge for the Natwest ones but I had to argue with them over it. Halifax charged me £5 for each account!

im with alliance and leicester, online they only go back to june or july last year, but i need them from before i went on maternity leave.

Yes they can, the tax man wanted my statements and I had to pay £5 per sheet from Barclays - that was for statements about 2 years old

Am with Lloyds Sassie and I can view online statements from 7 years ago. You should go paperless as really handy and saves you looking at that letter from the bank wondering whats inside it!!

My fella is with them.

I don't think they do paperless because I would be making sure he was doing it right now x x

A&L don't seem to have this facility.

My fella keeps 6 months worth of statements.

but the question is whether the taxman / utilities etc would accept statements you print off yourself? I doubt they would so paper ones are actually better.

Agreed, "paperless " only saves the bank money, then some expect you to pay for them when you need them.

I will not go paperless for this very reason.

yeah, having thought about it now; I'm switching all my accounts back to PAPER!
