United haven’t won at Stamford Bridge since 2002. Chelsea are ready for this tie and we believe it doesn’t matter of bigger point distance than usual. The Londoners amend their nondescript performance for FA Cup with almost perfect away play in Copenhagen.

Torres has a great scoring record against Manchester United and appears to relish playing against Nemanja Vidic. Hopefully this superb scoring run will continue, especially as Carlo Ancelotti has already stated he`ll score in his next game.

i will be getting on united @ 13/5 because i cant loose then. obviously wanting the Chelsea win or draw but a little consolation if not.

I just want to see a goal celebration that involves some sort of shooting, maybe Rooney scores and the rest of the team line up and Rooney shoots them all and they all collapse to the ground.

I'd laugh my knob off if any sort of gun tribute celebration is done.

Result prediction has to be a draw for me.

Cole 5/1 to have a shot on target which is incredibly good value IMO.

^^^ Paddy Power, was in today's currant bun.

I think it is excellent as he usually pushes forward at some point.
banned#5
Yeah he certainly does, have also seen him in the box a few times when they have a set piece.
#6
2/1 united 12/1 is my bet tonight methinks
#7
Torres does usually rip Vidic apart, i bet hes having nightmares already. Its a good thing hes off form. Anyway im guessing either United win or a score draw

At what point does it count as a shot on target? If he shoots from 30 yards and is blocked halfway to the goal would that count or as it got to be stopped 6 yards out or something?

Would it not just be either a goal or a save by the keeper?

Hope Torres get's a hat trick against the scum tonight. After tonight he can rot in hell again, though. :D

I wonder what the ruling is regarding Torres (if any) seeing as this game is a postponed tie.

No, I'm saying if it is blocked by the defender, at what point does it count as on target. It could be shot from 40 yards, blocked 5 yards after the shot and still have been going in if it had not been blocked. You follow?

I do hope United do Spurs a big favour tonight and also make the Gooners cry even more than Sunday! X)

Rooney to get a hatrick, shot by Cole going down the tunnel and the Referee not seeing a thing. Anyone know who the ref is BTW? Such an important factor!

I am not 100% sure what would class as a shot on target, however they would go off the official stastistics for the game like Optica.

Ref is Martin Atkinson.

It gets even better for them as their "world class" striker has been ruled out for the next 3 weeks. lol

Oh right! There it would say if he had a shot on target. Can imagine people who might stake hundreds on it willing and shouting at him to shoot from the halfway line to win their bet! :D

Cheers greg :)

Yeah but if it's not actually hit the target who's to say it was on target.
#25
come on you chelsea scum, need you to do the dirty tonight and take the 3 points!
#26
Anything better than 0 point's for United would be a great result, I sense a game of chess, I hated the fact that the fixture was cancelled, Chelsea's form was terrible back then, We haven't won at the bridge since 2002 I believe.

Our form is better than Chelsea's but our away form has been very poor.

Similar thing happened with Inter last month. They were allowed to play Ranochia in a postponed game but decided not to.

yeah would settle for a point... think it was 2002 last time we won at the Bridge

Man U have been surprisingly negative in big games this season (Man City, Arsenal, Spurs away)
So hopefully that continues tonight.

We've used our European tactics which have in recent times been successful, I think it was a case of don't concede try and nick one, Frustrating but if we'd gone all out like we tend to at Old Trafford it may of cost us, negative yes but getting the balance between attack and defence is what gets result's, That's what Arsenal lack, Push too many up and get caught a lot on the counter, perfect example of that was your exit in the Champion's League to us the other year, Still not got the right balance.

I do agree united have been consistent in the way they have gone about things this season and they haven't been under any pressure to win away from home either. I think they will probably play for the point. Chelsea are so unpredictable of late but hope they nick a winner. It will be close game.

Big blow for us, best striker in the league out for 3 weeks, I'm not sure if we'll cope.

Hope Chelsea get the win but I have no faith in them. United will play awful as usual, not deserve anything, get a dodgy penalty and win then everyone will fall over themselves trying to say that's the mark of champions.

So United have been lucky nearly all season lol.
Just as you think Arsenal are stepping up they bottle it again & will probably go trophyless for yet another season, someone's bitter me thinks.
I'll go 2-0 United.
#39
There's no bottling, when we've had our front 6 of Song, Wilshere, Cesc, Nasri, Van Persie, Walcott we haven't lost a game. Our problem is our inability to cope with injuries, which is why I say if we don't suffer too much with injuries from now until the end of the season then we will win the title otherwise it's United's.

Tonight Chelsea should just go for it and play Drogba and Torres. I'm hoping Torres has been saving all his goals for tonight! Drogba can bully Smalling, and Torres always has Vidic in his back pocket so it should be interesting.

What more did we expect from a jealous Arsenal fan.

This is a thread concerning the two best teams in the league, no place for also rans!
