So I was thinking about this Novatech barebones bundle http://www.novatech.co.uk/novatech/prods/barebones/Novatech/BB-6404GA.html Novatech Barebone Bundle - AMD II X4 640 Quad Core - 4GB DDR3 1333Mhz - AMD 760G Motherboard With Onboard ATI Radeon 3000- 4 Bay ATX Tower Case & PSU - £189.98
I want a PC for general use, some gaming/higher demanding programs.
So I was wondering what everyone thinks about this for value for money and what I would need to change for example to get a half decent graphics card I imagine I would need upgrade the PSU.
And if anyone has any better suggestions like not buying a barebones I'd like to hear them. I'm doing this for fun more than for the PC :P
Thanks :)

How much are you looking to spend for the full system ?

Um well around 350-450. But depending on what it is I would be willing to spend up to 500ish

Its bloody easy to build your own.
the fact you are considering it probably means you have the nouse to do it.

Cpu
Mobo
Ram
HDD
Optical Drive
Case
PSU

Theres your shopping list.
Its actually something pretty difficult to get wrong! most parts can only "go in" one way.
as long as you ground yourself you would be ok. look up guides online.

thats how i built my first computer!

OP, No point in us pointing you in what goes with what as you sound like you know what is what in Computer sense.
Have a look at this link below that I created about buying from a power seller on ebay who sells PC's much more less than you can build them for at great prices.

Well games like cod4/lfd on high specs and medium specs on newer games like bc2 ect. general video editing and image editing programs nothing too demanding. Can I find the equivalent intel for as low as that bundle though?

When your PC comes please let me know if its genuine! I mean its not possible to be able to sell that top PC for any profit. A quick google says that stuff should should be selling for about double what it is... I still wouldn't mind building one myself to learn how to put together parts ect.
