Actor-turned Oscar winning filmmaker Ben Affleck has made his name as a director by crafting thought-provoking crime dramas and historical thrillers, and it’s for related reasons that superhero movie fans are excited to see him leave his mark on the DC Extended Universe with his upcoming Batman solo movie. Affleck, in addition to directing and starring as the Caped Crusader, is writing the DCEU solo Batman movie with DC Entertainment President Geoff Johns and the film is slated to be his next directorial effort, following the release of his Prohibition-era crime flick Live By Night early next year.

I don't know how I feel about Joe Manga... Joe... Mr Sofia Vergara as Deathstroke. I'm only really familiar with his work in True Blood and he wasn't exactly a characteristic presence in that.

Don't worry, if the last film is anything to go by you'll only have to put up with 5 minutes of his acting, interspersed with 2 and a half hours of a cgi version of him smashing into a cgi Affleck over and over and over until you start nodding off.

I like Ben Affleck as a director more than an actor and I love batman but it just will not be anywhere near as good as the Nolan films.

Let's not forget Christian Bale.

See I liked Batman Begins & I loved The Dark Knight but Rises was a complete borefest.

I wasn't so fond of Batfleck in BvS. He seemed far too eager to kill people and his "if there is even a 1% chance, we must take it" approach was absolute lunacy. Also feels like the world's greatest detective wouldn't fall for such manipulation at the hands of Jess Luther.
But, we'll see how it turns out when it's released. I know many people liked his rendition of batman, so maybe I'm just being grumpy.

I think he was supposed to be portraying a tired & fed up Batman, one whose moral compass was (view)askew (100 points for the reference), I liked him and knew I would and I gave him a chance from the beginning. the problem with BvS was the script the film was full of plot holes, and like you say Luther is clever but Bats is clever-er after all Batman did in one Planning what luther couldnt ever do, and that was Kill Superman (even though he didn't actually go through with it)
