Things can only get better! (singing):whistling: And I thought ours was bad before we did it!:p

In picture one and two, you can see where the wall was, i had seperate bathroom and toilet, the sink is now where the bath was, in pic 4 the end of the bath is where the bathroom door was and where the rad is was where the bath was before the wall came out, as you can see its like a bomb site, but hopefully one day i will be able to add the finished pics

You have certainly got lots on your plate there sassie!!!

Although our kitchen was in a similar state - we (big 'we'! Hubby really! ) started it October, 2006 and hes only got tiny bits of painting to do now after replacing all the units, worktops, floor, moving the sink, relocating the cooker, removing a window and replacing with french doors, the list goes on!

I'm pleased with the results, but there where quite a few 'why did we start this?' moments along the way!! :whistling:

oMG tell me about it suze, the wall came out three weeks ago, the new bathroom went in last week, and the shower was supposed to go in this week, but he never showed, until he does we cant get the plasterer in to start on the walls, as the door you can see boarded up is where shower is going an we need all electrics in before boarding up the other side, and cant afford to get the plasterer in twice - lol

I do feel at times why, but one day soon i will know why.

bathroom on such a tight budget isnt good, but we are getting there

eeewwwww, hate to think what other might be!

Only joking about the shell style suite :whistling:

The piece of wood that your bath feet are on should run the opposite way, across 2 or 3 floorboards.

yeah, so if they ever go through the floorboard they go straight through the floor too and hang out from my kitchen ceiling, and im sorry about that but its where they built the kitchen when they built the house - lol :p

Any other complaints:w00t:
#37
It's coming on fine sassie, good for you ! another week or two and it'll be like the Ritz !

Owlass is right about the wood under the bath leg though, there's way too much pressure on the one floorboard it's sitting on.
The weight and pressure needs to be evened out by running a larger piece of wood the other way and across 3 seperate floorboards. Same goes for the other 3 legs if they're like that.

No criticism just would hate to see the bath disappear downstairs !!
