Obviously the demo has been out a few days now, what does eevryone think of it?

Personally i think it is absolutly brilliant, so much more flexible than MW2, I think im gonna get rid of MW2 for it to be honest.

BC2 > MW2

Looking forward to the demo on PSN this week. Played the Beta for > 30 hours.
BC2 should, by rights, sell more copies that MW2 - unfortunately it doesn't have the same hype machine, or fanboy appeal. Fine by me though, as most of the people that end up playing BC online long term are team players, playing with a bit of thought, not just their own K:D ration in mind, and there are far fewer obnoxious teens/kids badmouthing everyone..............

.........that's just my opinion though...............;-)

How so? I'm really enjoying it at the moment, it seems really well balanced.

controls are not that responsive or sharp, (yes, have changed settings), weapon sights seem fairly babyish and lack the feel of any precision, walk and run don't really see much of a speed difference, crouch is not great either, its just a real bland FPS with no real push forward in the FPS genre. IMO

Fair enough, i kind of get what you say about the controls, everything else i dont quite agree with.
I think its one of those games which needs a little time to get established with players as its more about team play.

I mean i was playing last night and i stumbled into a decent squad of people who had obviously played the BF series before and it was awesome :P

I still play BF:2 and CS:S in a clan so yeah its just not up to scratch

Don't like it at all.

It's just not fluid enough for me, the movement is sluggish, aiming reminds me of Far Cry 2.

CRAP!

The Battlefield series has always been the king of FPS.
MW2 never comes close.
I will be getting it when it's released.

It doesn't matter how many people play it.
Yeah it may have been the beginning of FPS's, but Battlefield took it to a whole new level, and there hasn't been a good challenger since.
And now with Bad Company and it's destructable enviroments, amazing gameplay and graphics and great vehicles, it's a no-contest.

IMHO yes...for its day definitely, until cheaters ruined it!

BF is overrated, controls are poor, not responsive, jerky...

IF they improved the feel it would be bigger than COD easily, online its fundamentally much much much better than COD, a proper warzone unlike the frag fest that is COD....

if they made the feel of it closer to COD and the style of BF it would be the biggest game

It's ok, you don't need to answer my question. I will just have to assume what you would say :)

Being close to COD would be a very bad thing and i wouldn't buy it if they did.
Battlefield has a unique gameplay and needs to stay that way. But i think they should improve it with elements from Battlefield:Modern Combat 2. Such as clan support, better mic settings and a better conquest gameplay.
If they did that then it would be the perfect FPS.

no you misunderstand completely what I was saying. The feel of the weapons, accuracy, etc etc etc...not the actual gameplay of COD....cause that would be COD

Hmm ok, what's wrong with BC's weapons and accuracy then? It's fine with me and i love the feel of the weapons.
COD's seems too fast and too arcade like for me.

poor accuracy, sluggish, recoil etc etc etc...

improve that and its the winner

COD is sort of fast at times but its also too slow in places, switching weapons takes an age for example...very arcade at times I agree but still better than BF in that way
