Do you think we'll see a BBC 3D channel soon? Looked really good was a music gig of some sort bit like sky 3D. Don't know when they'll broadcast anything like it again. What do you think?

I think so, maybe next year?

They're broadcasting Wimbledon in 3D aren't they?

3D will be dead within a couple of years... hopefully.

It will take more than 3D TV to make The Smiths 2 dimensional! :D

Are there any freeview HD or freesat HD that are 3D compatible or is it going to be sky customers only?

Hopefully they won't waste precious freeview bandwidth on such nonsense. Anyone who wants it can just put up a dish.

Hoping the BBC has more sense than to fall for this 3D rubbish, probably wrong.

3D is something we are just not ready for. Steer clear BBC and dont waste our money on nonsense which will only be outdated when the technology matures.

Hey Don't knock it if you don't have it or YOU don't like it. I have it and it's great for watching a good 3D film. I wouldn't want to sit down to the news, a soap etc but a good movie or a good sporting event is brilliant. It's like surround sound, if there is a good blockbuster movie or event, settling down for the evening is enhanced by surround sound but ordinary is not particularly enhanced. As for the glasses, you forget you have them on and the picture is better than the cinema.
So.... if you are jaded because you don't have a 3D set, or don't appreciate innovation, say it's rubbish. Many people put people down because they do well, it's their nature to be 'half empty' rather than 'half full', but don't spoil things that others like. I'm sure detractors do things or like things that I don't but I wish them well and in fact hope they continue to enjoy or get even more enjoyment..... but I don't wish to take their pleasure away from them. Did you say the same when radio became TV or B&W TV went to colour or mono Tv went to Nicam Steres and then Dolby surround?
Maybe you like football. Well the innovators are working on holographic systems where you could be at say Wembly and a world cup match could be beamed into Wembly on the pitch and you could watch the match 'played on the Wembly turf' but actually taking place in another continent. You need innovation or small steps to get there. Grumpy ner do wells will never get things done by saying 'you don't want to do that!' What id they had said not to miniturise the mobile phone etc? Encourage - don't discourage and our country would be a better place! Think about it!oO

3D actually has a negative impact on ones health; can cause migraines/blurriness [sic] etc - in the Media Museum there are various incidents recorded that attribute them to the victim having been viewing 3D.

obviously not at the museum itself but just in the special area where you are given an insight of it.

BBC needs to become private; there's enough overt advertising anyway.

Heck, they could become a channel where various shows advertise products within them - and avoid breaks.

Talking of tennis, stuff like AEGON championship - and on the EPG as such, is obviously an advertisement of sorts.

Complain, complain, complain. :( I must be one of the lucky MILLIONS this does't affect as opposed to the several (complainers) it does. SO ban it for ALL I say. It's like do-gooders that don't want walkers in the country as they spoil the natural resourses..... but it's OK for THEM to be there to ensure the natural beauty is preserved for them! Buy yourself a £D tv, put it to the test and then if you are still complaining, just say it's not for you and SELL IT! Talk about 'Dogs in a manger' :)

Well the 3D coverage was...... good. I enjoyed the depth and the3D made the game very realistic. Well done BBC. Now Dr Who in 3D would be awesome (Dalek episode preferred)! LOL
