BBQ Party Location?

I want to have a BBQ party for my birthday but I don't want to hold it at my house. (Garden too small) Now with BBQing on parks and commons being illegal and all, can anyone suggest anywhere where it might not be or how I can go about having my BBQ party elsewhere. i.e. (Hiring an apartment with a garden? or something like that)

Oh, and friends house isn't an option... Thannnks.

How about asking a local pub, hire a room but also ask if you could have BBQ on the grounds too, that way if it gets to hot people could go inside to the room hired ???

There are loads of pubs that have large gardens and BBQ parties, have a look around your locals, most wil supply all the gear as well so stress free and folk can buy their own beer

We did one at the Bear in Oxshott a while back and it was super.

The parks near me have BBQ's provided - how can it be illegal?

Taslk to your local butcher, he would prob do you a good deal on the meat and will cook for you. He will also have a good opinion on venues.

Thanks for the help guys.

I'm open to more suggestions... I think Pub is a good idea which I didn't even think about...or even giving Douggie Hogg a shout.

How's this for NO BBQ rules on the common!! http://www.batterseapark.org/html/bbqpolicy.html

South West London Matey.

As for people bbq'ing...I do see it now and again on the local common but knowing my luck if I went to do it with all my friends we would get shut down....so I just want to have it somewhere where I don't have to worry about getting told to leave.....

Hmm...how bout if I went down and done it on Brighton beach? Anyone know?

Carsington Water in Derbyshire even has a brick built stand for putting BBQs on. No good for you I see but shows that there are some public outdoor places where BBQs are allowed. Maybe check on the local councils website.

There are some grounds near me on outskirts and they quite large, and have a allocated BBQ area, they not illegal in those grounds and expect up and down the country lots of other parks and grounds will have an aollocated area for BBQ's.
