Stupid question Eggman but did you buy the double pack with the DVD?

I thoroughly enjoyed the CD but was left disappointed with the DVD which was just the songs all over again with no video ?

Explain to me what was the point of the DVD, please ! (Serious request, I'm pretty useless at all things technical.)

I wondered that too but we have surround sound and can hear the difference.
This is why:

Hmmm ! Thanks palspal I'm a little clearer now (I think :giggle: ) but I still don't understand why they didn't put some sort of video/graphics on it.

I wonder how many idiots like me bought it thinking they were going to get images :whistling:

Had to wait till Christmas as the family had put it in as a present 4 me. Hae not stopped spinning it yet - it is the GR8est album the Beatles never made. No, seriously it is bloomin good - brings 'em straight into the 21st Century. The DTS version blows the windows out, and the roof off ' sound surround'- good jobby I have no immediate neighbours to trouble with it! The DVD was, I believe a way of reaching a modern audience(or put another way- to make more money, as Lennon once said, cynically and truthfully, about the Fab 4 marketing)

As regards any video content, my guess is that anything with the Fabs on it is worth money to the owners - who 4 sure would be a diversified number of people and would therefore demand ooddles and oodles of royalties. There is also so much legalites tied up in anything remotely connected to the Fabs that even mentioning their name here -you can expect at least 20 lawyers to consider suing.

Me I'm a cynic - betcha it all holds water tho'. Regards from a probably wrong Eggman.:santa: regards and thanx for your post - made an old hippy happy.

The family R away and I'm spinning now - the speakers and subby are creating a cool draught around the room- literally, I'm serious, moving the full height curtain thingys - meters away - it is a truly awsome album. You must use the DTS tho'. 'Turn on, tune in and drop out - Timmy Leary'.

If you want to capture what the Beatles started, buy Hard Days Night - DVD not to watch the Beatles, but look at the background of Austere England - still post war - then U can begin to understand what changed in the Sixties. It was filmed in 1964 but the cinematography took you right back to 1944. It was shot on location and reflected the way we lived then.
