Beauty pageant girl, eight, given Botox by her mother is taken into care

Sad that the little girl is now been taken away from her mother but seems that someone has some sense and disapproves of the mother's cruel methods to boost her own ego.

Disgusting, sick woman!

Just saw this posted on Facebook and its discusting.
My nearly 8yr old DD has a hairy back, a mini monobrow going on and a very skinny boney face. But I would never dream of waxing/plucking my DD or giving botox to plump her face up. She is already too beautiful in my eyes to mess with her body so young!

Glad the poor girl has been taken into care, but I do feel the damage is already done no matter how much good care she gets now. She is obsessed with her body shape already from the damage her mum has caused her emotionally and physically.

So on top of everything else the child now has to cope with being taken away from her mother, they should of just banned them from any beauty pageants

It is worrying how some people feel they need to parade their children to strangers for their own gratification.

My thought exactly.. I think the mother should be punished... But taking her away from her mother is just taking it too far.

Maybe this is just what is public, there could easily by other things going on in the background that mean it is best for the child to be taken into care. I would hope that removing kiddie from mum is not just a quick reaction but taken after due consideration.

I think the mother needs taking into care not the child, very sad situation.

So all that will happen now is all the other mothers who do the same thing will never mention that they do it and countless other kids will go thru the same thing

Spot on there. It'll all be hidden now.

She calls it her Monkey back, My other 2 are not like it, But my eldest (hairy one) was born with a head full of hair and caused me so much heart burn.

I always thought the american beauty pagents for little girls were taken OTT, but this is just 1 step too far. Most of the little girls don't look like they enjoy these parades anyway, its just pushy parents.

I agree. Cant see how being taken into care is gonna help the situation. Mother needs parenting lessons and a public shaming in a national newspaper.

I don't agree with what the mother done as it was terrible, however I think taking the child away was not the best thing to do. Instead someone could have worked close with the mother explaining the dangers ect about what she had done.

Your daughter has no chance of winning a pageant with that kind of attitude.

So they should have let it go because others might do it secretly? Madness.

I didn't say let it go, They should of punished the mother not the child and brought in some rules to stop it happening to other kids in the future

So you would make a note of an 8 year old if she didn't have a hairy back etc. Worrying.

I'd make a note to revisit when of legal age. I have no morals saint, don't pretend you're surprised.

I know its The Sun, but this was where I read it from the link on FB

http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/woman/3485305/I-give-my-girl-8-Botox-for-pageant.html

Just go down to the bit where she says she used to cry loads, but doesnt cry as much, then she mentions about boob and nose jobs to be a star.

If she's entering beauty pageants then she needs to (wait for it) look beautiful.

And let's face it, she isn't exactly a natural beauty now is she.

How about we just get rid of beauty pageants for kids?

Oh my! oO
Worryingly, Britney - whose research scientist dad died four years ago aged 83 - regards the injections and waxing as part of normal life.
