Report them to iTunes. Very dodgy that they are all from the same developer. (and also in chinese!)

Happened to me a couple of weeks ago. Had £15 of voucher credit used to buy similar Chinese developed apps.

Query the apps from your invoice. Got it all back from iTunes.

Changed my login email address and password afterwards.

Good luck.
#3
Cool. How did you query it. Did you click report problem?
#4
mmm-could be a new itunes scam-wonder how widespread this is? if you dont enter your username and password how can you be charged? looks like apple have a problem here

Hasn't happened to me yet, but for reference, how do you query a purchase?! Thanks

I think you'll find that you are the idiot here. When disputing a payment, sale or transaction you are to deal with the company first. The 'contract' of ownership is between you and the 'place of purchase', in this case... iTunes. There's also the Distance Selling Regulations which is also enforceable, including digital media content.

It's people like you, who spread idiotic comments that causes problems for the rest of us. The bank doesn't need to know about this, as it's nothing to do with them - unless it's a last resort.

Call the bank straight away. Save yourself all the other bother. They are contractually responsible.

i dont usually use these two words but i'll use them now, epic fail

why would a bank care? if it was an itunes voucher the bank wont do anything as the money hasn't come directly from the bank account

bank -> itunes voucher(legit sale) -> redeemed on itunes(problem with apps)

the money that left the bank account was meant to leave the bank account

Just contact iTunes, you will have the cash back within 24 hours, pointless contacting your bank as it was account credit, they will basically laugh at you

Step 1.op buys an itunes voucher from a shop.
step 2. op applies this credit to itunes
step 3.chinese firm takes unauthorised amounts

at what point,in your 15 years experience does a bank become contractually responsible please?are my bank also legally liable if I buy a stale packet of crisps from tesco?

Just call iTunes has happened before you explain the situation and they refund you the money.

I think what chester123 meant was contact the bank if it is a unauthorised transaction in which case the bank is responsible. But what chester123 didn't read was the transaction was done on a itunes card in which case itunes would be responsible. Just a simple mistake made.

When you receive the invoice from itunes, you will have these options against each app :
Write a Review Report a Problem

Click the latter. It will take you to a website where you can query the app/transaction.

Either way it still doesn't matter. The law is on the side of the consumer and there are regulations in place to ensure something like this is dealt with as soon as possible. Even IF the funds were transferred from the bank first, the contract is between the consumer and the retailer. You can't go contacting your bank everytime something happens - it doesn't work like that!

Consumer law states that it's the retailers' who have to sort this out. I really wish people would start understanding the law because I'm sick of reading these types of stories in magazines and online and given completely incorrect advice.

I've just had a £11.99 charge from GAMEISLIVE CORPORATION for an app I never purchased. Ughhhh, and I just had a crappy phonecall, today sucks.
#22
Just been charged £10.75 for this App which I have NEVER downloaded, pretty much they took what remaining credit was on my account, I have 73p left now, thank God there wasn't more and I didn't have a credit card attached to my account. I have phoned and emailed Apple and NOTHING!!!! They may be liable but try making them pay!

My tip

Get an android device or failing that contact itunes

And with people like chester123 it is now wonder the banks nearly went to the wall too engrossed in Itunes and not enough attention to sub prime mortgages

Do you have any apps from them? as a quick google show issues with in app purchases

My account has just been debited £11.99 by 1 帝國 Online, 5850銀幣禮包, Developer: GAMEISLIVE CORPORATION LIMITED!!!
How is this happening to so many people? This sting must be known to itunes...also strange how it is targeting those with itunes credit and not from a credit or debit card!
I have just emailed itunes, and hoping to be reimbursed.
#25
Several debits from my account over the New Year - all exactly as above, and have neatly drained the store credit I had. Fingers crossed that Apple can sort this out for me.

Talked with iTunes customer support several times, they don`t even admin, that it might be a scam. Told them that I didn`t download these apps, so I couldn`t do any in app purchases, but only thing they answer is: you have to be more carefull when using your apps....

Have just had £25 credit emptied from my itunes account because of this app auto billing me. Never downloaded it, never bought it but there it is sitting in my itunes :(
