Any remedies? my sleep pattern was so destroyed going to bed 3am, then 4am then 5am then all the way up to 10am daily later each night.

I eventually managed to go to bed at 12.30am Tuesday night as I had to be up 8am Wednesday and managed to go to bed around 1am each night after that but feeling really rough and even getting 12 hours a day sleep I feel awful and im waking up constantly during the night and it takes ages so that may be why to i.e broken sleep.

When im up I stay awake but feel like I need to go back to sleep as im exhausted.

lol any advice.

CRY?

yeah I had this before during my last holidays, I went to sleep at 5am:|, and woke up like 3pm:|.

learning from my mistakes, I try to go to bed before 2am, and wake up about 10:30:|

reading helps.

why areyou going to bed so late?

If you have a regular sleeping pattern, it normally helps. Try setting your alarm for the same time each day, and then let the time you go to bed adjust. Eventually when you get into a pattern you should feel better.

Also make sure you drink plenty of water. Drinking less than 2 litres a day, can make you feel more tired.

yeh, ive had problems with sleeping, rubbish as then your eating , digestion cycle gets messed up too. If you over sleep it can be almost as bad as under sleeping as your body will start another cycle hence you'll feel fatigued and rather rubbish

I had this problem for a long period of time due to depression, the GP gave me a drug called Zopiclone which i took for about a week max, and it put me back in routine of sleeping. It relaxed me quite quickly then i just drifted to sleep! Woke up feeling mega refereshed everyday as well, you can still wake with it so no probs of it knocking you out completely as i got them due to having kids and needing to wake up in night, but if i woke in night i would drift back off.

You could try warm bath about an hour before bed after turning off everything, warm drink (not coffee) and sit, drink and relax reading even a magazine, do it the same time every night it will probably soon help, if not seek help from GP

The Derren Brown book has a whole section about self-hypnosis that is easy to understand and do, it's basically walking you mind into a relaxing place- since I read it, i've been able to go to sleep in 10 mins no matter how wired I am.

try watching bbc news and set the tv timer. never fails to send me off within 10-15 mins. if i dont have the TV on then I find myself starting to think too much about anything on my mind so sleep is very difficult.
