Beko 32" LCD and Xbox 360 Prem HDMI problem

I've been splashing out a bit on deals from here recently and got myself a Beko LCD from Argos and a Premium 360 from ShopTo - the problem is when I connect the 360 to the tv using an HDMI cable (HDMI v1.3) I can only select the 480p option from the 360 display settings, all the others (720p/1080i/1080p) are greyed out.

Does anyone else have one of these TVs connected to a 360 by HDMI and if so do you have the same problem?

Thanks.

I tested a PS3 with HMDI and had great results. Not sure what the problem is on your end, but you could probably solve it by switching to a PS3.

Is it just a normal DVD your trying to play through it as i think it only upscales them to 480P. ?

Try another media type. e.g. game, etc.....

Thru VGA cable:

HD DVD - 1080p resolution and all others
DVD - Upscaled as high as 1080p resolution and all others
Games - 720p games upscaled to 1080p, also supports native-1080p games

Thru Component cable:

HD DVD - 1080i resolution maximum, limited by AACS
DVD - Upscaled to 480p maximum, limited by CSS
Games - 720p games upscaled to 1080p, also supports native-1080p games

Not trying to play anything, just going to the dashboard and it only has 480p selectable.

Lol. No thanks.:p

Is it a HD LCD?

Don't try VGA cable with a HDMI premium - no screen display will appear unless you empty the cd tray. Tried it with 2 different hdmi xboxs so probably a bug.

Yep it's HD. Works fine on component and VGA.

Its right the TV does not seem to support 720 or 1080 which why the HDMI doesn't allow it on the XBox, the component connection is down scaled.

I have this problem with mine, however have tried it on gf's 32 lcd and hdmi works fine (1080i) so why does the xbox not work on the beko, when some of you say the ps3 does?
