Hi folks,

I have up to £400 to spend on a 32" LCD tv. It has to be from Argos as I have gift vouchers.

I am looking at either the Panasonic 32LXD8 or the Samsung LE32A457C1DX. Can anyone tell me which one is better? or if anyone has any other suggestions??

Cheers

I wouldn't normally recommend this make and it's a bigger screen but the Acoustic Solutions 37" LCD is a full HD (1080P) which makes it more future proof and it's got a bunch of good reviews on the Argos site (and it's under budget too).

Mind you it's for reserve and collect only which normally means there's one left in the most inaccessible Argos store in the country but you never know.

Of the two 32" you mention the Samsung is the better specified in terms of connectivity but I'd go for the Panasonic every time for its overall balance of capabilities. Mind you, if you're planning to set up some sort of home cinema system using a separate amplifier and speakers then the recommendation has to go back to the Samsung as the sound is probably where you would find it most wanting. You'll only get 720P/1080i out of either but if you don't plan to go down the BluRay route or have Sky HD etc then so what?
