After watching the Haye - Ruiz fight the other night, it made me want to watch a few more fights, so wondered what everyone thought the best ones ever were, or your top three. Thanks people!

Id call myself a n00b when it comes to boxing but Calzaghes demolition of Jeff Lacy was good to watch. Simply a masterclass in boxing.

Also, Hayes fight against Mormeck was bruuuutal =)
#2
Balboa vs Creed (2)
or Knoxville Vs Butterbean

Frazier v Ali (manilla), Benn V Eubank or Tyson Holyfield

I was trained by the person that infllicted a defeat on Calzaghe before he turned pro

without a doubt these are the ones you should watch

1. sugar ray vs duran
2. sugar ray vs hagler
3. sugar ray vs hearns

All time hall of fame is the rumble in the jungle.

Lennox Lewis vs Michael Grant, 29 April 2000, New York City.
Cost me a small fortune to see Lennox take less than two rounds to win. :)

Look out for Arturo Gatti V Mickey Ward trilogy.

Also for sheer drama, the Diego Carrales v Juis Loius Castillo 1 and 2 was a cracker!

1) Castillo vs Corrales - Epic 10th round
2) Gatti vs Ward - Epic 9th round
3) Froch vs Taylor
#15
always love a good fight but one that stands in my memory was gatti vs mayweather.

the castillo v carales was a good one aswell
#16
Naseem Hamed - Kevin Kelley...
Froch - Taylor
Froch Pascal...
Corrales - Castillo... Both fights.
#17
Froch Taylor was nice but if you want to watch the fight of the year last year watch froch v pascal.

Plenty of incredible and classic matches above. Gatti Ward were all solid.

agree 100% with this list,

Halger Hearns was amazing and is known now as the war!!

Amazing fight.

Tyson's fights, before he lost it, are all entertaining and accessible to a newbie of the sport.

thought that fight was embarassing. Calzaghes showboating made me cringe, especially considering how shot jones was.

Anyway...

Hagler v hearns
Gatti v Ward 1
Morales v Barrera
Pacman v Marquez

oh and most recent diaz v marquez

Not a fantastic fight in terms of skill but for entertainment

Prince Naseem against Kevin Kelly, funny funny fight, around 5 knockdowns and a ten minute ring entrance. haha

couldnt agree more on your 1,2,3 although I think heavyweight boxing is so boring compared to middleweight.

by far the most amazing fight, tragic too, but thats boxing. The worst is, they set up the match hoping Benn would be the one destroyed, how wrong they got that.

Also, The first tyson vs bruno fight has a soft spot with me. When big Frank rocked tyson, i was screaming for him to finish him but he dithered and backed off.

i have a poor recording of the Benn vs Mclellan. not sure how the disc is holding up tho lol. Is from an old vhs recording made off the tv.
