says it calculates to be 14.89% as opposed to 17.5% but still a good discount! :)

Im presuming its not valid on items picked up from store though?

because vat back is effectively 14.89 % not 17.5%

if you add 17.5% onto 100 you get 117.50, if you take off 17.5% from 117.50 you get 97.00

So you dont actually claim your VAT back, just a percentage??? Bit misleading
#5
Which is the correct amount unless I'm mistaken (when deducting)

Voted hot.

I doubt this is valid for items picked up in store as you have to go through topcashback.

However, if the website has a purchase and then pick up in store it might still work?

Think this be linking to the VAT back offer. Need to make sure you visit TCB first before buying

It IS the whole amount of VAT which is taken off.

Example 1: £100 (amount before VAT) + 17.5% = £117.50 (amount including VAT)
Example 2: £117.50 (amount including VAT) - 14.89% = £100 (amount before VAT)

Therefore the whole 17.5%, which was added is taken off again.

You're exactly right in your calculations Pet2000 :)
