Best Buy decline Quidco cashback

Just been told by Quidco that Best Buy have declined my cashback as they have paid that amount to another site. I definately went via Quidco to make the final purchase, though I had looked at the site…

Just been told by Quidco that Best Buy have declined my cashback as they have paid that amount to another site. I definately went via Quidco to make the final purchase, though I had looked at the site from HUD. Of course Best Buy do not accept queries on declined claims. Very worrying as I have lost a lot of money on this deal. I will be very wary about using Best Buy in the future. Has anyone had caskback?

You're problem is cookies. Because you viewed the item directly via HUKD, their would be an affiliate cookie left from HUKD. Visiting the site from another link would not overwrite the original cookie and therefore Besy Buy would not be aware of you visiting via Quidco. That is why you should always delete your cookies regularly if you are a Quidco user. Some people actually devote an entire browser to Quidco to ensure that this problem doesn't happen.

i have had small amounts declined..i use both quidco and TCB but now i use TCB as they have proved more reliable and got £100 off 02 which had failed to track.. ALSO as you have probably figure out if you go via another site to the one you want to buy from CLEAR YOUR COOKIES, otherwise you mau not get your cashback. ONLY go throught the cashback site NOT EVEN HUT... only problem is when you lose track of things or have bought something a day to approx a week before as the COOKIES should not be deleted until your sale has been officially recorded by the cashback site.. BETTER still make copies of your copies of your cookies and visites / history... to claim from cashback sites if you have to..

i am currently having £50 tracked by TCB from bestbuy

Hi, I had the same problem this morning, I had cleared all my cookies before going through Quidco. The declined message was "Enquiry Unsuccessful another marketing channel was credited with sale"

I sent an email off to Quidco customer services (around an hour ago) and got this response a few minutes ago:

"We are aware of this problem and it is something that we are looking into. We have sent your enquiry back and as soon as we have a response for you we will let you know. I will put this on hold until I have more information."

Mine did not track after the purchase and I had to do a manual claim (which I did a couple of days after the purchase).

I've just had a £70 claim declined on the grounds "Enquiry Unsuccessful another marketing channel was credited with sale". In 4 years of Quidco I've never had this problem before and I regularly clean my cookies etc. Interesting to hear other people are having problems, I'm progressing with Quidco at the mo. A little too convenient that a new entrant to the UK market offering an unusually high 15% cashback on high value electrical appliances starts declining claims in a non-transparent way???

lesson learnt

always use a different browser solely for quidco

then again, dont use quidco as very poor these days compared to topcashback

Hi, thanks for the responces and I will heed your advice. Fact is I have never had this problem before. Best Buy didn't track, so I put in an enquiry which came back tracked, then eventually declined for the same reason as MIB15. I then complained and again got the same responce as MIB15. If it had happened once - accident/mistake, twice - coincidence, but to more than 3 of us - deliberate?

I was fobbed off by Quidco stating they couldn't raise more than one enquiry with Best Buy per transaction and there's nothing that can be done now it has been declined. I am so suspicious and feel really let down. I was just told they had no trace of the transaction - might be cookies or paid to another affiliate is all Quidco would say. Some chap called Carl handled my query - seemed a bit of a jobsworth to me!!!

This happened on 2 occasions for me with "three" on quidco. I only use topcashback now and so far has been spot on tracking and paying out.

Take note of the top tip from csiman and use a different browser for topcashback. (Install another if you only (foolishly) have IE on your system.

After using the info in this thread and nurmerous support tickets to Quidco (v helpful) & Best Buy (not so helpful) I've had my cashback vaildated. I won't claim success until it's in my account but thanks for the info here and best of luck to you.

I bought Sony Bravia from Best Buy in Nov 2010 ( via quidco cashback) . All process looked ok ( I had all positives tracked information) until today....I checked status and there is DECLINED !!

Same thing here.

Large value item bought in November. Tracked okay. But now declined.
And I ALWAYS clear out cookies before logging into quidco.

I smell a con.
No coincidence that a headling grabbing 15% or 20% off on a retailer with a lot of high value goods.
So they get you to buy and several month later reneg on the deal.

Same thing with me - TV bought in November - opening weekend when they had the voucher plus cashback deals, tracked fine, about a month ago the amount changed (as they decided it was less VAT and postage ) - then declined yesterday.

I always use a different browser and clear cookies before transactions on quidco. Just raised the query but don't hold out much hope reading the stories here.

Same with me, camera purchase in November with 10% quidco, just declined today so -£55 for me :(

Never clear my cookies so lesson learnt. Will be using another browser to do quidco in future although this is the first time I have had a problem. From what people are saying think it was a bestbuy ruse especially as I can't buy anything from them since as my credit card keeps getting refused.

Do not write anymore about any cookies etc. I did not have any problem at all before !! This team (best buy/quidco) are trying to cheat us....

If you are 100% sure it shouldn't have been paid to anyone else I would ring BB and speak to the team directly and find who it was paid to - as it will have been paid to someone.

Dont use Quidco use TCB , not had problems after using cashback sites for many years.

Too much of a coincidence with loads of people not being paid

Sorry you didn't say it was TCB, same comments apply though.
Presumably if they refuse to tell you who got paid, a SAR under the DPA would show it, as the transaction reporting must be subject to the act.

Quidco also declined my Best Buy claim, reason given as - Response from Merchant. Enquiry Unsuccessful - Another marketing channel was credited with sale. Never used another marketing channel. Sent a reply to them, but don't hold out much hope.

It is not a scam, quidco is never guaranteed, you should see it as a bonus if it is successful.

Same here. BB denied me my cashback via TCB form a purchase last Nov.

Having read this thread I see the BB tactics are not a one-off and seem to have been a marketing ploy to get early sales.
