Best/cheapest alternative to Rapidshare?

I've been using rapidshare for a while now to download films etc from warezbb but it seems that rapidshare is becoming less popular for people to upload files to.

Does anyone use anything similar, ie: fileserve, MU?

whats the cheapest and fastest alternative to RS ?

I'm not interested in usenet as i haven't a clue how it works and i'm happy to download by J downloader.

Same goes with torrents, used them in the past but can't be bothered seeding etc..

Usenet is pretty similar to torrents in the way the client 'looks' and how you download the nzb.

I'm going to go Fileserve as it seems the most popular, as nothing is really out atm I'm just using single links as a free user with no problems for now.

I think i'll probably try fileserve as the single links i've downloaded have been fine and as you say it seems the most popular

I've got RS & HF- I still get the speeds from rs but since the change it's gone belly up and I can't get the files. I do not get decent speeds from hf, I'm lucky if I get 5m. I use both on JDownloader. I'm currently looking into Duckload.

Usenet gets my vote too. Dunno why you cant fathom it - its a doddle! Just take out a 3 day trial and I'd bet you see its the best / easiest way to get films etc. Never heard of jdownloader! WTF is that!

FileSonic and HotFile links are everywhere these days as the uploaders get a decent kick-back when someone downloads their files but HF is really slow in my experience (dial-up speeds at times) so if I see it's the host, I look elsewhere. FileSonic's getting better.

FileServe and MegaUpload are pretty good as a free user - the waiting times between downloads aren't too bad.

I've still got a RapidShare account but I won't have it much longer. RS links are getting rarer these days since they "improved" their system but I have decided which paid for host I'm going to change to.

Am still using RS i havent found a problem finding links on warezbb. ive tryed some of the alteratives as a free user but its allways rubbish speeds, but that could be to do with my ISP karoo been crap.

With torrents i just buy a seedbox (server) for a month and just let that seed to the private sites im on.

By the end of that month i will have about 1TB of upload on the sites which will last me at least a year depending on the site.

You are going to get rubbish speeds as a free user that's the whole point of becoming a paid member to get faster speeds.

As I said earlier, not interested in usenet as I'm sticking to what I know and the speeds download files through j downloaded are very fast, torrents, been there done that, they seem like a step backwards now, I'm going to wait for my rs account to run out and try fileserve, that seems to be very popular on warezbb, RS posts are definitely in the minority now

HF has a dodgy privacy policy.

I was in the same boat today but realised when I checked that I had lots of RapidPoints which I used to extend my account till july.

Ah good point, I'll have to check how many rapid points I've got on my account

Apart from warezbb, are there any other good forums out there? We used to use Th3zone until it got hacked and went downhill.

Another one I've used http://bolt.cd/board/

Fileserve & filesonic seem to be the most popular, I normally just use fileserve with JDownloader, but there was something hosted filesonic on that wasn't on any other host, was quite cheap too, worked out about £5.50 for 30 days or so.
