waste of time

agree, I had some really nasty fish from one chip shop, its was kinda translucent and rubbery (not white and flakey at all), I binned which is rare for me (im usually the person to eat the scraps from others lol) months later I overhear a conversation in a queue, "best fish & chips to get round here is...." the same chippy i vowed never to go to again. yuk.

well chip shop of the year 2000 mentioned in the mirror when they asked early on last year. so have the pedigree, And you know what they desreve it they are the best but in these hard times you might want to cook your own. The chippy is LES'S IN CREWE and the best chips courtesy of the hairy bikers and the bbc . http://www.bbc.co.uk/food/recipes/thebestchipsyouhavee_93121

Excellent fish and chips - always make a point of trying to go there rather than anywhere else if I can.

I think it's won an award one year for the best fish and chip shop in the UK .
I don't think it served cod , but the other things it did serve were decent

If only. I used to live along the road from the Neptune chipshop in the Denistoun part of Glasgow, and it sold the foulest chips I've ever encountered. Really, really bad.

Cod Almighty in Bristol are good :D

We've got loads down here but one of the best is Atlantic chippy, at the Triangle in Bournemouth. Everything frsh made to order but worth the wait.

Spot on, live about 10 mins away and any fish that is the size of my cooker deserves to go in my belly.

Lol, I was going to try and describe how big the jumbo is for £5.25 but they would think I was exaggerating so I didn't bother, perhaps you want to try? :D

I have drove past that place several times.

I am definitely going in next time I am up that end :)

Ramsays Chip Shop :)

Nah - had some there earlier this year - I thought the batter is better at the Magpie in Whitby. End of the day though its all down to personal preference....

The Fish and Chip shop in Wetwang. I live in Hull which is notorious for the amount of chippies there are but it's worth the hour or so round trip to go there, the ones in Hull are average at best.
