I don't know if you're trying to be funny or not.
I haven't seen the film but I think you are being a bit sarky.
I hope so.

Maybe he was driving to a secret destination to diffuse a ticking bomb (A la James bond) OR MAYBE he had a ticking bomb IN his car and was driving to a remote clearing where it can explode safely (A la Die Hard)?! See, you shouldn't jump to conclusions...

Thats the story. The main reason for him keeping his license is to carry on his training in preparation for deployment in Afghanistan.

its sickening how they put all these soldiers up on pedestals!!!!!!

i do a good job and help people, and dont go to fight a war that doesnt need fighting for, and even worse they dont even know what theyre fighting for!!!!!
#11
You seen the wage Private soldiers are on? How's he a afford a car that can do that speed
banned#12
Public interest is lock him up, 50 soldiers die in the field because he's not there.

Agree he shouldn't be locked up, but dock his pay to pay court costs.

2. I don't agree with his actions, yes he should of been penalised in a better way but i don't for one second believe you have NEVER crossed the law :)

Yeah it was me, his missus was crap! :w00t:
#24
Yeah, lock him up or take away his licence! Better off to stop him from completing his training, then being deployed to a war ridden Afghanistan to defuse explosive devices and save dozens (hopefully more) from being blown up in the war that you're all so fond of!

Look at the bigger picture, innit?

hahahaha no not that i know of!!!!!

just disagree that theyre doing their job, which they opted to do and they get off with murder, quite literally in some circumstances!!!

Defusing bombs would be classed as preventing murder in my books... Can't think of too many more terrifying jobs.

Yet again....a fence spouter.....!! Instead of spouting crap, get enlisting and changing the situation then,...or carry on doing the mouth work but not the leg work to change your views :whistling:

Don't forget the rough living and sleeping conditions, life constantly under threat and the possibility of death whilst doing the job you've been training for!

and the crap hole of a house we get to live in for a pittance.
the various funerals of friends/colleagues.
the not seeing family for weeks/months on end.
the missing out on most family celebrations throughout the year.
and the 7000 innocent people we kill a day, just because we like to fire rounds :)

Or perhaps it has been their ambition to fight for their country (at this point, I will state I am not a patriot).

The real world is all around us - The army isn't some cosy holiday (for the majority). Furthermore, it takes some balls to volunteer/enlist for bomb disposal. I know I'd crap my pants if faced with a bomb.

You clearly ain't speaking from experience....i know of at least 2 people in this thread that ARE....your looking silly, very, very silly!

Google could be your best mate, and is always strongly advised when fence spouting, thus ensures you don't look TOO much like a plant pot :p

Ok this thread is boring now. Didn't realise it was merely a front for the OP to get on his soapbox and spout his anti-war ideologies. :lazy:
