Hi, has anyone used a free parental control website filtering application. If so which would you recommend.
I've looked at the Norton Family one and it seems okay'ish so far (only just installed it today).
I'm currently using XP, windows firewall and MSE.
Thanks

Basic, but can be effective if your KIDS are not too computer savy: OpenDNS

For an all round security app (including Parental Controls) I suggest Kaspersky Internet Security, it's cheap, effective and has a good user interface.

Kaspersky is very good but not cheap (unfortunately).

What antivirus do you use? Most antivirus software have parental controls inbuilt. You just have to enable it. You can also configure your web browser to block certain sites. You can use parental control bar which is a free.

Edit: I think your ISP might also be able to help you out by enabling parental controls on your account. (I am not sure on this though). This is helpful if you have tech savvy kids who can bypass the parental controls. ;-)

Actually I think that Amazon's price of £19, for 3 computers and 12month of updates, is pretty good.

However, to keep you happy I have had another look and found it for £9.98 delivered on eBay. It's a genuine Kaspersky 3user license & CD, delivered to you your front door.

Just remember to download the latest 2010 trial version off the Kaspersky website and then enter the code that came with the purchased 2009 version.

Also, I think Barclays Online Banking is still giving away a FREE 3 user version to it's customers.

Thanks everyone.

I think I'll invest in Kaspersky as it seems to be the best option.
