Been trying to find the best browser to use with Windows 10 and having got fed up with Edge, Firefox, Chrome etc have been using Opera for a few weeks and it's the best one so far. Been really impressed with the built in AD Blocker and it comes with active VPN for added security. Certainly speeded up my page loading etc and it's miles better than what I was using before.

I'm sure we will get the normal doom and gloomers having their say but if you've never tried it before and fed up with slow loading pages and masses of unwanted ads give it a go.

Fastest without all the crap of ads and compatability with Win 10.
#4
Opera or firefox portable.

I've been using Firefox but might give opera a try. Is there a way to remove edge ? Just started using W10 for the 1st time & it seems embedded into the OS :-(

I use Win10 and have tried all sorts, The stock browser Microsoft Edge has always reported fastest connected directly to my router with cat-5 cable. Having said that, I continue to use Chrome, I get a decent speed for what I need.
Speed isn't everything, content and quality have to be included in the equation. I've worked in computers for over 24 years, people I know swear by Linux, it's good I admit, others won't touch anything that's not Steve Job's creation, it's what you've been brought up with and used to using.

Mozilla Firefox is the best browser

Chrome or chromium with ad block and flash block installed

Would take opera over chrome for VPN and less invasive logging

Is great fun listening to yourself say ok google though. However I'm not sure if they ever stop listening to me

You could remove edge but I would just change your default browser to whatever new browser you download, that way everytime you open up your internet it will go to your new browser.
