Depends, do you want a 18 or 24 month contract?

Either way it can work out cheaper (or very slightly more expensive) to take out a more expensive contract (to allow you to benefit from lower initial layout for the device) and then downgrade after 9 months to the lower one.

I took out the £45 for 24 months.
I paid £100 upfront for the phone, and will downgrade in 9 months time to the £35 contract.
I'd have paid £200ish for the phone by going on £35 from the start.
So spend £90 extra for the contract for the first 9 months (45 rather than 35), but saved £100 upfront. And I get extra minutes and texts for the first bit of the contract.

Just check and add it up over the time you're going to take the contract over.
