Best night's sleep in months....secret shared!!

Posted 14th Jun 2011
I thought I would share the secret of the best night's sleep I'v had in months. Having tried various herbal remedies, nytol etc, I tried Boots Sleepeaze. Slept all night, and have woken up feeling refreshed!! There is a warning that they are for short time use only...but...just wow...to get a good night's sleep occassionally.

See you GP and ask if you can try Melatonin. I've been using it every now and then and find it pretty good.

You can be prescribed sleeping tablets by the doctor, I did nights for years, used to get about 3-4 broken hours sleep in the day. This was killing me so I went to the docs and he put me on them no problem. From then on had 6-7 hours unbroken sleep each day.

Glad you had a great nights sleep but I'd give it more than one night before singing the praises. Hopefully this will work for you but it could just be you were that bit more tired than when you tried nytol.

    Fingers crossed though.

OP said herbal Nytol, they're not the same as these. But Nytol do - one a night version that is the same.

They are exactley the same thing, just sleepeaze is the boots own brand. The composition is identical.

Whisky and coke works for me, feels a bit bizarre having one at 9am after my night shift but guarantees 6-7 hrs sleep!

Anyone tried doing some physical exercise to tire yourself out rather than relying on drugs to get to sleep?
  34. deleted32260's avatar
Nothing to do with being tired, after 4 - 12 hard hour shifts believe you me I been afraid to drive home some morning for fear of falling asleep at the wheel (some co workers have actually done it). Getting to sleep was never a problem it was sleeping past around 11-11:30am. It was like my body would just not allow it, a very weird situation, so tired yet totally unable to sleep.
