If I post an item on eBay and state that it can be collected, should I insist on paypal or cash on collection if the buyer chooses to collect?

I would usually expect to pay cash if collecting - especially if higher value goods that I want to check. But if you are worried that the person will biff you and run away with the goods and leave no money, then paypal it is.

I once had someone pay via Paypal as soon as the auction ended who told me he would be coming to collect the next day. I got him to sign something saying that he'd received it just in case he tried anything.
