Hi all.

My upgrade is due today and I want to get the Iphone, but am currently on the Dolphin35 for 15GBP a month so id have to go bk up to 35GBP for the iphone.

My plan is to haggle the most expensive phone I can get from them then sell it and buy the Iphone wholesale.

So what are the top phones I should be mentioning when haggling a deal?

Thanks all

I'm in the same situation as you!
What phone did you get last time?

And where are you going to buy an iPhone wholesale from? You planing on setting up your own network ??

The most expensive phones are Blackberrys and anything from HTC. But what they'll offer you is based on your spend over the last 6 months. If your on a £15 plan and don't go over you're not going to get offered much, the price of the handset has to be covered over the course of the contract...

Wholesale forums. have a contact on there. Locked to orange. Assuming as long as I have the data and net setup on my contract, should be pretty simple

Well hopefully I can haggle something. No point haggling in the first place if they are going to screw you next time round. They should do everything in their power to keep you. I've been with them 3 years now

If only that were true. People that have been with them for 10 years aren't getting good deals at the moment.

If you had a 'good deal' last time round (and if your paying 15 quid a month, I guess you did), then you haven't built up any retention value this time round (if you haven't gone over your 15 quid a month much. If you have and spend alot more each month its different).

Just rang em. Helpful as ever... Yeh looks like my fears have come true.

After going through to retentions they can offer me a cheaper contract. Dolphin 25 but double to minutes to 400 or offer me the dolphin 30 and double the minutes to 800. I would however have to pay 50 quid for the Satio or Bold 9700.

I also said that if i bought an iphone later this year would I be able to use it on my plan. He said no, i have to pay 10 pounds for the iphone bundle a month.

Whats your thoughts?

Can I get better elsewhere?

I really wanted the iphone :(

New iPhone will be out in a few months anyway.

Buy a PAYG iphone, get a rolling contract and then sell it when the new one comes out.

Or wait a few months for a whole heap of HTC Android phones and either get one of those, of use those to haggle the iPhone price down.

The only reason i want the bold is cause it sells well to buy the iphone. But looks like i gotta pay 10 quid more a month for the iphone bundle anyway, so my plan is tarnished

When you say iPhone bundle, would you be bothered about the wifi?
Otherwise the unlimited internet on any plan works..
