Best Place to Exchange Euros back to GBP

beckles88beckles88

Hi I've recently been to Milan and I have about 65 left over, I was wondering if anyone could recommend the best place to transfer this back to British Pounds. Thanks in advance for any help, reputation will be added :) Becky x

Normally commission free from the place you purchased them from as long as you have the receipt

I'd say the post office, they sometimes ask for the recepit to prove you bought the euros from them, but if you can blag it, as I do, saying you completely forgot, or lost it while you were away, then they normally let you off, worth a try as they won't take a fee!

i usually ask around people i know as most go to europe and sell them at rate i got them at. They give you such a poor exchange switching them back it never seems worth it to me

Hmm good idea about asking people, not sure I know anyone thats going. What are the rates like at Marks and Spencers and Boots?

This will not work in a post office which dosent normally stock euros (ie one which has to order them in for you) because they need the receipt in order to send the returned euros back. They cant send them back without the receipt and would be stuck with them.

Surely you must know someone that is going to Spain, Holland, France etc. etc. soon.

You will lose a lot changing them at a currency exchange, you may as well keep them.

yeah, unless you're desperate for the cash then keep hold of them for the next trip abroad.
