After downlowding all sorts of programs for burning movies to dvd, i stumbled across this one, ConvertXtoDVD 3, its so easy, i mean easy to use. I downloaded the program from mininova, Just drag your movie into the installed program and click convert. This is just information for anyone who like me searched and searched and was about to give up.

I use Format Factory. It's free and converts fine. You can convert so many formats on it too

I use Winavi to convert. Good quality and very fast. Its not free but well worth the £18 to get a registered copy.

Dunno why anyone would bother taking an avi and converting it to dvd, unless their dvd player can't support mpeg4 - it doesn't improve the quality at all.

Yeh I use ConvertX to, takes a while to do the converting part but burns it in 5 mins once thats done.

You should get a DVD player with a USB or Memory card slot and just transfer your files to a stick or card and watch them that way. I use this little fella and its went doen in price, I paid £38 minus the P+P

may not improve quality but does insert chapters. resume on my dvd player wont work on divx files and also pic search is much better on a dvd.
