I had the best cooked breakfast of my life at The Hawksmoor. I still dream about it.

The head chef moved to The Grill @ McQueen, Shoreditch way. Not been, but plan too.

Chicago Chop House. If you are there give it a go. Best steak I've ever had.

There is very little skill involved in cooking a steak. If you know where to buy a good steak you should be able to cook it at home as well as any restaurant at a fraction of the price.

The chef's skill is in producing a top quality sauce that isn't bought in and vegetables that aren't straight from the freezer or chiller. Outside of the Michelin starred restaurants, I doubt you'll find more than a handful who don't use ready made sauces and microwaved/deep fried vegetables.

What???? I'd be careful if I were you, I know many chefs who would chop you in to pieces for that comment :D.

If you are talking about beefeater etc. type places then you are probably right but there are plenty of fantastic local restaurants and a few pubs around where I live who serve food all prepared fresh on the premises.

The best steak I have ever had was just this year..

I am not a massive steak fan but this steak was cooked to perfection, it cut like butter, cooked a perfect medium, with the best thick cut chips crisped just right and the pepper sauce was just to die for, with fresh bread and salted butter..

It wasnt in the UK it was in a small restaurant attached to a tabac in Montreuil-aux-Lions, France, you would never of even know a restaurant was there if it wasnt for us stumbling upon it.
