Best TV for the Xbox 360?

Hi,

In the New Year I'd like to invest in a 37" (or thereabouts) 1080p TV. It's primarily for the Xbox and I'd like the best TV for the job.

I'm no expert in this field, however I've heard that to get the best experience you need to look for full 1080p, 100mhz.

Anything else to look for? Or are there any TVs on the market that are recommended?

The budget will be £400+ - hoping to bag a bargin in the new year.

Thanks all,
Richard

To be honest 99% of all games on the 360 are 720P, so getting a 1080P is an overkill (although I'd do exactly the same) !

If it's just for the xbox then a 720p TV will be just fine, but if you plan to ever watch blu-ray etc then get full 1080p, the prices have dropped so much in the last few years that there's no reason not to get 1080p anymore

Ah I didn't know about the games being 720p... It will be our main TV so we will be watching dvds/blue rays etc. Is the refresh rate or any other specifations a factor when looking for a TV for gaming?

Richer Sounds have a 40" 1080P Samsung for £449 or with a 5 year warranty for £494.90.

Looks like a nice TV.. It seems to be 50mhz, does that make a difference when gaming?

Usually getting a TV with a high refresh rate is mostly for watching/playing football, or sports that are fast moving.
If you are just playing your normal games then most TV's are fine and won't hinder it at all.
