The only options for a TV package is Sky or Virgin and you can only get Virgin if you are in one of their areas.. however both of them will require someone to install, so if freeview isn't good enough then you will have to think of something else, like getting it installed while she is on holiday. We had sky taken out and now have bt vision for phone broadband and tv. No problems at all, prefer it to sky!

can bt be self installed?

Yes, everything you need comes in the box, I get broadband, free calls to uk, half price to mobiles and the tv with added films and kids for around £50 per month.

I installed my BT Vision stuff - no man had to come out and even if something goes wrong with it they talk you through how to fix it yourself over the phone - I love Vision as it means I can watch entire series back to back so that is a good one to go for.
