Basically as the title says what is the best way to get a nice shine and colour back on the laminate flooring?

Just looking for something which ive hopefully got indoors to do today.

Usually i just use general all purpose cleaner but it cleans, but doesnt shine.

a wee tip for you all from Mrs Cleanaholic here. When cleaning floors (not wooden) put a small - about half a capful of fabric conditioner into your mop bucket along with ur usual floor cleaner and the smell really is lovely and lasts for hours!

But no more than a capful or u will go on your nelly !!

I am OTT with it and wish I wasnt . My friends say that a "clean house is a sign of a wasted life" :-(

I posted a wee while ago about how I started up a cleaning business few years ago - well its going amazingly well but all my girls are sick of me pulling them up for a piece of fluff thats been left, or a kink in the cushions lol

Many years ago when i did cleaning there used to be a pink stuff that you used with a buffing machine, the floor used to shine like glass afterwards, isn't there a product out there for flooring?

there are specific things for flooring but i wanted to do mine today with products i already had.

anyways got down on the hands and knees gave it a good scrub with some disinfectant cleaner and some fabric softner (smells nice, cheers for the tip) then gave it a polish up and looks lovely! although the colour of the floor after a good clean is now darker then my speakers but looks 100% better

ah right ...the fabric softener is a good tip, i always put some in my mop bucket. Another good one is scented oil on light bulbs, when the bulb warms up the scent wafts round the room, also fabric softener on a tumble dryer sheet or baby wipe placed on a hot radiator smells good.
