Beta testers needed for Official HUKD Mobile App
Hey HUKDers,
Our team of super developers are working around the clock to finish the official HUKD mobile app. Now that we're nearing the end of development we need YOU to help us swat the bugs, try to break it and help us make sure it is great!

Go to http://www.hotukdeals.com/AppBetaForm and sign up. For those of you with iPhones, you'll need to get your iOS identifier. Don't worry though,the process is outlined on the sign-up page.
We're only taking a limited number of applications, so act quickly! We're looking forward to hearing your feedback.

What is the ETA do you think on release? As it seems to be on the Beta stage...

The text boxes in the submission form could do with having a border, being lined-up, & being wider :)

I would not know that I am afraid. HD should answer shortly though :)
The app will be released when we are satisfied that all the kinks have been worked out. For right now we're limiting the test to a handful of people, in order to get a manageable amount of feedback. We hope to begin distributing the application for testing on Monday, barring complications. Thank you all very much for your interest.
As of right now we do not have any plans (that I am aware of) to develop this app for Windows Phone, but we do have an API that could be used to develop an app for it. We are focusing our efforts on Android and iOS for the time being, but a Windows Phone app is certainly not off the table, and the more people who are interested in it the more likely it will happen.

will it run in background (optionally, not forcefully) and notify us when a deal meets the users entered criteria?
(e.g. when a deal for a ps3 game reaches 100 degrees, or a certain product is under a certain price?)

I'd be willing to develop a windows phone version of the app. Could you PM me a few details about your API? Do you have a new one or something? From what I can remember, the REST API was very limited, and had hardly no data available. This hardly gave anyone the opportunity to create anything useful with the API. Another thing was the amount of calls supplied per hour were pretty poor, and would never be enough for a project in production.
