recent post on HUKD for bargain, bouncy castle 7.50, i went online and bought one, paid extra 4.50 to have delievered to my home.

received email saying it had been dispatched.

checked my bank account today, they had refunded me 7.50.

checked my ccount with them and they have said they are not delievering and refunded the price of the castle.

they have therefore kept my 4.50 delivery charge, and not even bothered letting me know the product wont be arriving.

have sent email complaining, so watch this space. but id reccommend checking your bank account if u ordered one product and paid for dleievery too.

im pretty annoyed about it myslef

i agree...
there is no customer service!!
i bought a game off site had it delivered to store, had no text to say it had arrived, forgot all about it..
when i went to wrap it up for a present remembered about it, went into store to collect, they said they couldn't do anything bout it as it was after 7 days and its gone back on the shelf..
no refund!!

Is it just me or is customer services generally a bit of a mess at the moment. I've had hassle with Tesco, Woolworths and ebuyer recenly when ordering online. If things go wrong with an order it seems almost impossible to get it sorted without endless calls and emails. It's making me think that a few pounds saved isn't worth it. Worse bit is the habit companies have of charging you even when they don't have stock and then making you chase them for a refund.

another one with bad service from woolworths
after messages going back and forth over non-delivery i contacted consumer direct who informed me of my rights and after informing woolies cs of what i'd been told woolies agreed that they were breaching consumer law but said they had no alternative and thst they would not discuss the matter any further. so basically it was a case of "yes we know we cant but we are anyway"
so no more woolies for me.

doesnt sound like i'll be getting my money back and appology very easily then. oh dear. good job i have enough money aside for such events. a few years ago 4.50 would have caused me a problem to just loose like that.

Although I do agree in some ways, 3 customer services I have recently dealt with were John Lewis, Apple and Bose.
They were all excellent, although it was abit of a different situation! Lol!

Sony & Nintendo's customer service and John Lewis as spikey said are excellent.

The 2 times my PS3 died.........i rang Sony and the next morning there was a replacement at my door.

Woolworths are pretty poor with their customer service. I ordered a computer online from them & they took the payment straight away. When it failed to turn up it was up to me to chase up why (numerous emails/calls) & when it was finally classed as lost in transit I got a refund after about 3 weeks. Very poor customer service, I had to contact them each time not vice-versa, & their delivery system / order tracking is rubbish. Wouldn't order anything expensive from them again.

Exact same thing happened to me - I had to constantly chase them and never received anything near an apology
