Time for a song............

You got to know when to hold ‘em, know when to fold ‘em,
Know when to walk away and know when to run.
You never count your money when you’re sittin’ at the table.
There’ll be time enough for countin’ when the dealin’s done.

Now ev’ry gambler knows the secret to survivin’
Is knowin’ what to throw away and knowing what to keep.
‘Cause ev’ry hand’s a winner and ev’ry hand’s a loser,
And the best you can hope for is to die in your sleep.”

Has BG1 finally confessed that he does not have the money he originally said he did? Am I missing something here?

Perhaps sell one of the 6 Series alloys to tie you over?

ive already tanked the car up a few days ago, hopefully it lasts because I wont have money to top it up again until the 2nd week of April.

I dont know how you people can live like this tbh, i suppose its good in a way to go back to my roots, i used to have nothing, now I have everything (bar these 3weeks)
banned#25
averaging at 70 per week, or 10 pounds a day is easy, going twice in a week means you wont have to resort to frozen crap to last a week

most raw veggies are cheap, buy plenty, a nice big bag of spuds (buy british, better texture and flavour) for example, dont be afraid to peel one or two if needed, along with your other root veggies

bananas are always cheap considering how good a snack they are, apples, do not buy cheap, buy british for flavour,

things to avoid are, fresh bakery, fresh fish (overpriced) and any cooked meat, cooking it yourself is half the price, as well as salad veggies unless you can share with a few people, or you wont use them up before they go brown

meat, the secret to using cheaper meats is long slow cooking time, if you have a slow cooker use it
other wise, home made soups and stews with cheap meat, gently simmering for several hours makes cheap meat good

rice and pasta dishes work out really cheap, its your protein that is hard to get when saving money
but your budget you can afford one really good fish dish per week, fish is needed in your diet (salmon or any oily fish)

do not get lazy and buy pre prepared crap, part of the key to cheap but decent food is that you have to get out the knives and chopping boards and prepare raw ingredients, dont be like the morons who just go to junk or Mc'D's

ty its not just £200 on food, £200 to live off for 3 weeks fam, so i cant be going out as much as , nuff respect for advice doe
banned#27
you wont spend near 70, more like 30 if you follow my advice, so 90 over 3 weeks, leaving 110 for other stuff,
unless you really need to cut it to more like 15-20, but that means poor quality veggies and meat

basically, raw veggies, chicken is inexpensive

salad goes brown too quick, fish is a once a week deal, and beef once a week too

as far as 'you people living like this'

actually, I have plenty in my current account, If I actually got down to my last 200 quid for 3 weeks i would consider my financial planning to be a failure
I keep the minimum of 2000 at fast access at all times, 200 quid wont cover much of use if you have an issue with something now would it?
basically if you need to go to work or get called to go some distance, now you cant, as you can barely afford to park.

Morrisons have some great offers on potato's, apples, carrots etc all @ 30pence :)

What happened to the 5.5k you had in cash on Friday afternoon?
#30
isnt the 2nd week in april around the same time the next batch of student loans come in?

Hmmmmm
#31
Lots of beans of toast oh and fish fingers they're really cheap
#32
Fresh boil in the bag kippers - about 80p from Asda. Easy, tasty (esp with fresh bread and Encona sauce) and good for you, though you will have breath like a cat for an hour or two :-D

I propose that you buy nothing and starve yourself, maybe then you will stop producing such drivvel on this website and give everyone a break.
God i would really dislike to be you! Did you not get any attention as a child and thats why you cry out for it here.
URGH!

no i never get enough attention, and as a result I took pic of myself at funny angles then used them for my avi on forums so i can get attention from people I dont even know, because I have no self confidence and need to be continuously told by people I dont know that im pretty, when in actualy fact I know im not. And the last time I spoke to a boy was when I was waiting to be served in MacDonalds by the cashier

oh sorry did i just depict your whole life? sorry

No offence to you, or anyone else, but if you are correct then why would you post here and only encourage the behaviour?
Personally, trolling or not, I think it is quite often funny, whether it be BG1/VB1/JFK's thread, or the replied within it.
