Best time to take it is 10am or 2pm on a Wednesday.....I think...

anyhoo, see you soon in your local thread dude http://www.hotukdeals.com/forums/showthread.php?t=336044

Tell you m8 good luck! :)

Ask your driving instructor - he will have local knowledge!

Good luck ( to your mate :giggle:)

I was adisied to take itduring rush hour as you tend to drive very little - thus less time to knack up.
#5
Shouldn't matter what time you take the test, you are either good enough or you're not.

Good idea in theory, but difficult at roundabouts etc when there's a lot of traffic. Although if you do take it in rush hour, do it in the evening one. No kids on their way to school then...

Best time of day has to be about 9.30/10 am I guess, after all the work/school traffic has finished but before the rest of the days traffic gets busy.

Test prices should be here http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/Motoring/LearnerAndNewDrivers/LearningToDriveOrRide/DG_4022530

Depends on the person. I was stuck in traffic on my test. I had really good clutch control, so was happy to trundle along in first gear for half an hour of my test.

Doesn't really matter when you, (sorry, your mate), takes the test surely....
After the test presuming your mate passes, are they only going to go out in the car at 2pm on a Wednesday afternoon, or are they intending to drive when they want / need to?
The whole point of the test is to try and check you can drive in varying traffic conditions, if you(r mate) can't do that then they shouldn't pass anyway :P
When I took my test, (a few years back now), the instructor made sure to cover main road that were full of traffic, as well as some 'back roads' without traffic. Whenever your mate does it, it is there job to TEST them - lol

good luck with it brah

I got stuck trying to get into traffic....someone lets me in and I get a fail for pushing in

not during school holdiays! took mine during half term and there were kids walking aimlessly on the road bit when driving through town..... yikes!

but then i passed that test and flunkd 6 before! so there maybe some truth in the fact that with a lot of traffic on the road u dont drive as much so u cant screw up as much!

harsh!

You can cast off at anytime, it should make zero difference, if they are good enough = pass, not = fail, simples.
#14
This " mate " of yours, does he not have Google and or a telephone?

Will you be sitting the driving test for him?..
#15
good luck BG1 hope you get it.
#16
it costs about £100. £61ish for your test then you have to pay your instructor for 2 hours. 1 hour lesson you have before the test and the hour they wait while you have your test
#17
thanks for the advice everyone, keep it comming. And the test is not for me, I already passed and am driving a 46k bmw which has a RRP tag of over 55k if your not already awear.

Don't be silly. You have to be at least 17 to take a drivng test.

Or maybe he's taken up golf?

If your mate has had a decent instructor, who has taken him out at different times of the day/evening for his lessons, he shouldn't have a problem passing at any time of day.

#35
your m8 must be an absolute idiot if he cant find this stuff out on his own
#36
Mine cost like £90 just over 18 months ago, I should imagine it's probably about the £100 mark.

I did mine first thing in the morning, failed the first time, but passed the second.
