is there a way to get these types of screws out?
banned#9
put a screw driver under the screw head, jimmy it up a bit then unscrew it gently. Should be able to do it with your nails though, unless you've cut/bit them too short.
#10
dab a dot of superglue on the screwdriver and let it set in the screw leave for an hour then pull slightley whilst unscrewing

I'm guessing magenta, she was suggesting a nice colour scheme to aid the screw removals?

best way to get a threaded screw out is a drill and bit.........put drill bit in top of screw set it off spinning with pressure on the screw and should spin out

It's called a hard drive for a reason, it doesn't use magnetic tape to store the data

I think u'll find that a magnet will wipe it, 'HDDs record data by magnetizing ferromagnetic material directionally, to represent either a 0 or a 1 binary digit. They read the data back by detecting the magnetization of the material'

what exactly does "i think its been thread in" mean??

Cheers almost doubted myself then. Remember many moons ago smashing up 100MB hard drives and there being some amazingly powerful magnets in them. Stuck to anything.

Magnets don't stick to everything
