Well after seeing another member looking for a bike i ended up buying myself one. Bought a Lapierre Technic 400L 2011, although its a ladies bike, it certainly doesn't look it. Very nice ride, surprisingly better than my specialized rockhopper.

which bike do you have?

which lock do you recommend?

its an awesome bike lol.

Sorry my friend but a seasoned mountain biker like me can spot it a mile off. The geometry is totally for a woman. That also means that aside from the potential for ridicule, the bike isnt designed for you ie a man.

Is it too late to return it? I implore you, return this bike or take a hit on it whilst its new

Framewise its fine its not like a typical womens bike. I can return it if need to be but for the price I can't see anything better, maybe why I got cheap.

thing its not cheap because even if u dont know it yourself, the bike isnt suited for a man. So its actually expensive.

Also u have spent good money and if a bike enthusiast sees it he will know.

im sure another one will turn up at a good price.

200? Inc documentation , I put it side by side to a rockhopper.
#8
I may as well return it or remove stickers.

No dont remove the stickers. sell it on or return it. It may be the shop will agree to return it if u take a small hit on it.

A good bike will come up

Keep it...

What you scared of? Someone who knows theres bikes to stop and stare and laugh inside?

What's different about a woman's bike, is there a makeup bag on the handle bars ? Or is it pink ?

Lapierre 2011 Technic 400 Ladies

Riding a bike is not just a guy thing. But you don’t need a bike manufacturer to tell you that women are different from men, from their body morphology to their mentality. With adapted geometries and components and a special frame design, our L-Series collection was created with these differences in mind. So it can be a girl thing too

just lol

Looks just fine to me - and £200 is a bargain based on a pricetage of £650 I've just seen.

I must admit £200 for a 2011 bike new is an excellent price considering it sells for £650, i guess you didn't buy it from a shop, so return is probably out of the question I would sell it on and use the profit to buy a better second hand bike.

leave him guys, hes just connecting with him feminine side :D

Why not sell it on here
#21
I'm keeping it. The specialized rockhopper is actually slightly smaller. So frame wise its fine
#22
smaller in what respect?

It's probably smaller cos it's a small frame size. They come in a variety of sizes.

Ultimately it's what ur happy with though

Looks like a nice bike mate....just ride it and enjoy In the knowledge you got a bargain.
#25
17.5 for me tried the 19 but it was to big

The main differance in ladies MTB's is only the top tube is shorter, which changes the geometry....but if OP has longer legs and short arms for his height then it should fit him fine.
#27
Bargain price
#28
Yes I do have short arms and longer legs. Oh well will try it out on a long journey and see how it feels.
