Big Deal, England Lose, Now Bring On The Proper Football

Sick to death of this 'England' tripe, this is our time, rooney is god, best chance since 1966, semi at least, win the group, lots of goals, beat the germans, then the argies etc etc etc etc.

As an England fan, i'm actually quite glad this circus has come to an end.

Now let's look forward to seeing some proper football when the 2010/11 premiership and football league season kicks off.

Always wondered why they don't just put a full top premiership side on the England squad instead of selected players from individual teams? yeh there may be some poorer individual players but that way at least they all know how they play as a team?

Name one premiership team that could field an England team.

I know nowt about football, just wondered, maybe select whoever won the premiership from the previous season :-D

anything got to be better than what was witnessed yesterday/last few weeks!

That would be Chelsea. Good luck finding enough English players in that squad to field a team.

You do realise that the players need to be English to be able to play for England?

Its the 'real football' which is endemic to the problems.

Yesterday it was EPL vs Bundesliga, and the latter's technical superiority was for all to see.

Absolutely spot on, in 6 weeks time Rooney's, Gerrards and Lampards head will have swelled up to beach ball size with all the praise being heaped upon them as being 'world class'

This world cup has opened my eyes up to the fact that none off them are truly world class and play in the most exciting league but one of the worst technically.

The fact that we can't string 3 passes together or hold the ball for mor ethan 30 seconds but most of the minnow countries can tells me a great deal.

I was trying to work it out last night.

And i have come to a conclusion about our english players.

They are playing in a very poor league against teams like blues, west brom, wolves, hull, burnley, porstmouth, west ham, bolton, sunderland etc etc ....

For example, John Terry.
Week in week out, he defends against the likes of cameron jerome (blues), kevin doyle (wolves), fletcher (burnley), dindane (pompey), davies (bolton) franco (west ham), heskey (villa) and all these other world class forwards and strikers ..... NOT !!!!!!

So, no wonder our english players are so hyped, of course they are going to look good against these 'so called' inferior players.

But these players / teams also play very well and dominate in the ECL, against some of the players we played against yeserday, this is the bit that confuses me and makes me think it is the manager at fault.

I heard that they will be getting a hero's welcome when they arrive back in the UK ! Their plane has apparently been diverted to Glasgow !!!!

I knew England wouldn't do that great at this World Cup as soon as I saw this deal:

David Blaine is said to be furious today after his record for doing nothing in a box for 43 days was broken by Wayne Rooney.

anymore England jokes out there today?

The foreigners, perhaps ?.

Lampard has been accused of looking good amongst the world's elite, but to be fair, he;'s the only player to have enhanced his credentials during the tournament.

I feel that is definitely the case with Rooney, for whom Ronaldo, and more recently Nani, have been key to his good form.
