hi people to start off this is my second car from a big car company, first of all i had a pug 307 2006 in july 09, nice at first but then had alist of problems, = to break down £250 bill, things was going wrong weeks after having it,

so i kicked off in nov 09 after problem after problem, got to change my car but cost me £2000 cause i had it 5 months, i was angry at the high cost even so its not my fault it had the problem. so i gave up and swap it for new car astra 08 sri 21k £8500.00 in nov 09

now ive been having problems with this one, abs light, brake disks are 90% worn on the inside causing the brake not to work on me twice, scary i no. i was told all this today when i took it to vauxhall, they said its speed sen needs changing which is free and disk £300- £400 all, so the garage i got it from said they do it for me but what right have they got selling me a car with these problems after saying it was 100% checked.....

can i do anything to get something out of them?
thanks for your help

How about going to a differrent garage next time?

If I bought a dud car I wouldn't get another car from the same dealer.

Just one fo them things i'm afraid, just to let you know astras are known for burning oil (just the way they are made not a fault)so you will have to check your oil before you get problems there as well

oh nice!!!!
getting smoke alot from exhaust and only getting between 23-27mpg

you have had the car for 4 months, brakes are things that wear out.
If you can prove the fault was there when you bought it then reject the car under the sales of goods act (the finance co will most likely be jointly liable)

I suppose you could try getting vauxhall to get in touch with the garage that sold you it. Or try to get some proof of them stating that you couldnt be the reason for the problems. They will want to defend their car so may make the effort to prove its not a fault with the car but the garages.

ive got the proof, visual health check but i got the car from where my gf parents live 50miles away so everytime there a fault i have to drive 100mile round trip its not on,
what what can i say or do?
i want something out of them for messing me about and all the problems (compo etc) i mean if the brakes didnt work well.....

Nobody forced you to buy a car 50 miles from your home, it was your choice.

i dont mean it like that it was going to cost me 2000 cash to get out of it there and then or have a better car and newer

You didn't have to use the same dealer, they let you down once, then you went back to them.

I once bought an MP4 player from someone on here and I had nothing but problems with it.
It was supposedly brand new but never worked properly for me.
I was told that I must have "messed about with it."
Perhaps you have done the same with your car.
Was it "sold as seen" as that is what I got told about my purchase?
Still, I only lost £30.00 on my deal.
Karma.
