This is the problem.

The protocol relies on sharing. If you don't share, eventually you don't ever get anything back.
#2
why, mininova doesnt require any registration?

It's part of the BitTorrent protocol itself, your download speed is proportional to your upload speed.

What tracker you are using is irrelevant.
#4
so tell me what to do to get those speeds up?

One method that works well is if your service relies on a seeding to leeching ratio quota finish download something turn uploading to maximum and leaving the computer for a while to get your ratio up.
Also try using dynamic services to mask downloading torrents from your service provider (in case they are slowing you down).

Why not switch to Newsgroups.
I can get constant speed of above 1500Kbps

awrite ma fellow hun ?

theres actually a lot you can do ! bare in mind a lot o isp's do limit bandwith ! ( ie throttling ) who is your isp ?

1st of all are the ports open on your router for your bit torrents ?
2nd what are you using ? id recommend Utorrent or vuze
3rd have you encrypted your connections and fine tuned your client to your own speed ? ( u cant have your upload at nothing , and not at a 100% either )
4th have you Patched TCPIP.sys to allow more connections ?
5th peer gaurdian 2 ...........or another ipfilter

here are some links that will help !

portforward site ....................to open ports
how to encrypt connection
how to maximise torrent speeds

It also could be your service provider, some of them close ports that are detected being used for download. VM closes ports and reduces bandwidth/ speed after certain amount of downloads (varies for all plans and time of the day).
To see if that is the case do a speed check before you start downloading and when your download speed reduces, also check your port to see if it is open, if it is closed or you are not sure change it.

Problem solved my upload limt was set to 1, ive put it on unlimited and its shot way up now!

If you are on BT I would expect your speeds to be terrible as they throttle like crazy on weekends.

You could always ask the 'Elders of the Internet' if you could borrow the internet. :whistling:

unlimited isnt good either. set it to 80-90% of your max upload speed else you will choke your bandwidth and eventually downlaods will slow up.

and make sure you share each torrent with a ratio of 1.0 or above or eventually you will get very slow downloads as your IP address will get blocked for being a leech. ;-)

and port forwarding needs to be enabled. You can check if you have utorrent is sharing properly if the utorrent window shows a Green tick icon at the bottom. Amber or red is wrong.
