They're currently having a sale on BB deals, which was posted on here a few weeks ago. If you get a BB tarrif (You get unlimited BB internet usage) with over 300 mins, you save £7.50.

I'm currently on the 300 mins, unlimited texts and unlimited internet and I think it's a complete bargain for £10! On orange I was paying £5 for the internet, with 300 texts and only £5 left, which quickly disappeared.

And yes, you can use BB messenger on O2. Wouldn't know about prices for a device though, I'm afraid.

Hi.

1. You can use blackberry messenger on ANY network provided you have RIM services an all set up coorectly.

2. With phone - I think mobiles.co.uk does the bold 9700 - best blackberry - with 600 mins - unltd texts - unltd Internet £30. However. 3 are doing it with 500 mins and free 3 to 3 calls for £25 a month + 3 has far superior coverage.

3. It's alright. But I seriously recommend buying a blackberry and then going for o2s simplicity plan.

If it's the idea of a long contract you don't like, then the 1 month ones would be wise. Same as the £10 12 month one, but you'd pay £15. These are the "simplicity sims". (Edit: Just in case there is any confusion, these are sim only.. if that's what you meant by needing PAYG, before)

If you get a BB though, you would need a BB data plan, i.e. pay for their Blackberry Internet Service, which is how you'd link up your emails etc. I think this is also how the blackberry messenger works, but don't hold me to that. As far as I'm aware, you can't get a PAYG BB data plan on O2. You'd have to get the simplicity sim.

Alternatively, if you do not want any form of contract and do want to use all your BB features, I'd suggest orange, who provide the BIS for £5 a month which is deducted from your credit (no direct debit, etc). So if you get a dolphin sim and sign up to orange BIS then for a £10 top up, you'd get 300 texts, unlimited internet and £5 credit to do what you wanted with. But you said it must be O2..?

Hope that helps a bit, but if you're dead set on O2, it looks like simplicity is the only way to go for full use of the BB. Phew, sorry for the essay

These guys seem to say the same thing..
