Following up the post from the Wigan Fan, I can now confirm that Wigan are NOT the cheapest season tickets for next season. Blackburn Rovers have today announced their season ticket prices for the 2009-2010 season starting from just £150.

A season ticket in the Blackburn End lower will cost just £199. Fans also have a chance to buy an 'unreserved' season ticket in the Darwen End for £150, this is a 15 game package as the Darwen End is given in full to away teams for the other 4 games. So the choice is yours, eitehr £150 for 15 games or £199 for the full 19 games.

£199 for an adult season ticket is by far the cheapest in the Premiership, and also cheaper than any Championship team.

Please vote purely on value and not because you're a fan of another club. Rovers should be applauded for making every effort to make football affordable for the fans.

*Mod Edit. Moved to Misc . Not a deal. Info on availability at RRP. Thanks.

:thumbsup:hot

great deal - lfc fan
#3
spot on price - well done them
#4
Great deal, wish more clubs would follow their lead.
#5
Well done and congrats to Blackburn for taking this step
#6
Voted hot

but the reason these are so cheap is you will have to spend the rest of your money on neck braces after watching Big Sams style of football
#7
Superb! Well done BRFC!
#8
excellent deal! Well done Rovers!
#9
I had a bet with a mate that a neck brace would be mentioned in the first 10 posts lol. You've just won me a pint at lunchtime cheers.
Hopefully we'll see more attractive football at Ewood next season. Our midfield has been crocked all season so we've had no choice but to miss it out completely. Just hope for a couple of decent signings in the next few months.
#10
top deal!!!!!!!!! i said we were cheaper than wigan and ppl laughed!

this is a top way of attracting local fans!

Isn't this only a hot deal if you support Blackburn?
#12
Great price. No excuse for not following the team really.

Out of interest, was it not Hull who said they were the cheapest? I know there's a chance they won't be in the prem next year, but you get my meaning.
#13
"Isn't this only a hot deal if you support Blackburn?"

Not really, think it's a hot deal if you're fed up with football being taken away from fans and the normal fans being outpriced season on season.

If this is the case, the film deals are only Hot if you like that Genre. The bread deals aren't much help to you if you have a gluten-free diet and so on.

YOu have to take HUKD at face value: If it's a bargain to someone, it's a bargain.

£2k off a new car is great if you have a 10 year old car and you want a brand new car.
If you don't have a driving licence, it's not much help to you.

You get where I'm coming from?
#15
but it is only 15 home games which means you will still have to pay for 'the big 4' matches still cheap though £10 a game

But this is just the normal price for a season ticket. The justification for it being a deal is that it's 'the cheapest premiership season ticket', but it's only really for Blackburn fans thus rendering a comparison moot.

An adult season ticket is £199 - for all 19 games. :whistling:

How much are other clubs charging in lower leagues - just think about it mate!

BARGAIN PRICE - CONGRATS TO BLACKBURN ROVERS FOR THIS DEAL!!

Also it isnt our normal price - my ticket will now reduce by £100 for next season....which other club does that sort of reduction!
#18
Well done Blackburn Rovers! Absolute bargain! Can't wait for next season!

Just wished I lived in Blackburn :x

I wonder if that's the first time anyone has ever said that:?
#22
Personally I cannot stand football today. Nothing wrong with the support, NOTHING wrong with the community, I just find it far to commercial. That people pay a fortune to go and support a club which dosent give a flying **** about them.

Just look at Manchester United. :|

Anyway, great price :)
#23
Great price, making football affordable to the normal fans again, more clubs should follow, HOT

Probably....as for price that just what's I'd call fair, you expect to pay less for clubs who rarely make mid table more often than not.

And the football on display is often pretty dire to be honest, I used to get a lot of tickets when working in the area when Souness was manager and I got more enjoyment out of watching his touchline antics than the football itself!

lol, indeed. I did used to live there, but I was only 4 :-D

Maybe local area, say the Ribble Valley
#26
Good deal but for £50 more it is better to go to Wigan and watch good football.
#27
The ground is basically empty every other week unless they play one of the big teams i.e Manure or Pool.

There support is utter sh*te and the town is worse than beirut, it comes as no surprise to me that they are offering these deals, in fact I think they are still a little to high.

I don't :)

How do you expect huge attendences form a small town club you numpty!!!
Do you know the population of Blackburn, are you aware of the number of football clubs in the area!!!!
Comments like yours are infuriating, it's the type of nonsense the press love to pick up on as well. Blackburn as a town has a smaller population than the likes of Gloucester, Eastbourne, and Sutton Coldfield!!! of course we're not going to sell 30,000 tickets every match, that's about a third of the population of Blackburn!!!!
#30
Shame the one i'm buying my dad for wolves is £347 even including over 65 discounts!
#31
great price thumbs up for me been too Blackburn to see a few prem games and its great value for money

put it into context up here in Dundee its £270 for the cheapest Dundee United Season ticket and we don't exactly get to see the same quality that the premiership produces
#32
I may have to get one, I'm a Blackburn fan but live in London. Got to be worth a few trips, last one I went we beat Newcastle 3-0, hopefully I'll see some more of that next season

Surely a deal is anything that some members on here may want to buy and be happy to have pointed out to them that it is available. A "Hot" deal is one lots of people want to use. Whether it is full RRP, or only of interest to a few, if anyone wants in on it and could otherwise have missed out then it is a deal.

If I came from round Blackburn I would take this up on the £200 every game deal and be made up. Blackburn are a solid club with some good players. If Big Sam can repeat his (admittedly often poor to watch) trick from Bolton then you could easily be fighting for a Europa spec next season.

Finished top half 5 times in the last 7 seasons, MUG!!!!

£150 for a season ticket at blackburn rovers:w00t: i'm sure dick turpin used to wear a mask!

I doubt you will see any more of that in the Prem next season no matter how often you come watch Blackburn
#37
No doubt they will be charging Liverpool and Man United £36 again this season. £36 for Burnley too
