Why do you need a knife?
#2
I ordered and received an emergency rescue knife. Its basically a lock knife with pointed stud to break glass a seat belt cutter along with a 6" blade with a serrated edge on the back. It came in a box labelled as a SOG with the same name on the blade. When I googled this company it turns out they are a high end knife maker and this knife was about £80, so as I'd paid about £8.50 for it I think its safe to say its a copy. But its well made and looks the part. Hope this helps.

I really hope they are stopped at customs.

Go ahead and buy one then post back here and tell us what customs and the police said to you when they knocked at your door. As you may guess of course it is illegal to import knives of the kind you have a link for.

would you not be better off with this?

Why? many people have a genuine use for a good tool knife, do you go into Argos/Tescos/Sainsburys and complain about the knives they stock? Some kitchen knives make much more dangerous weapons, even a screwdriver would, if someone wants a weapon they will get one anywhere, the majority of knife crime by teens is done with kitchen knives from mummys kitchen drawer, not tool knives like this.

There is no way to unlock and use with only one hand as even one of the reviews says.

This is no more illegal than a plastic chip fork.

The only illegal part may be if you take it out in public as it may be considered an offensive weapon depending on size, I often carry a small pocket knife for practical reasons.
Illegal in what way? they are not flick knives, these arent even AO (assisted openers)

locking knifes are illegal in public - no exceptions

Why do you need a knife?

butter my bread , open my mail , open packages

Why do YOU need a knife, or a house for that matter
#9
I wanted it for work because my stanley knife blade isn't big enough to slice through the packages I often open...

I am sure you can see why people are asking what they are asking, it looked like quite an ornate blade, and conforms to the stereotypical knives used in many stabbing incidents these days. Its probably because they are quite readily available, i am sure you can get a knife to open the packages at work from a UK store, no need to import the one you posted a link too really as i am sure you can find something similar here.
