Bloomin typical... advice needed :-)

I have been waiting for about a year to get some cash to buy myself Jean Paul Gaultier perfume for ladies. I mentioned to my very recent ex-husband about my going to buy some and how expensive he was - and he very proudly told me yes it is expensive - he bought some for his new girlfriend. Now I can't even look at stuff (yes I know shouldn't let it get to me but the thought of smelling the same as his new lady makes me a little uneasy to say the least lol).

Anyone recommend a gorgeous perfume I can purchase for myself as a lovely present?

Lancome Hypnose. Will blow his new beau out of the water.... Do you want him back.?

Cheers I'll have a try of those when I go shopping tomorrow... I'm not sorry about the ex though anymore... I've realised he is definitely not worth worrying about :-)

I'm not so much worried about price... more something I will wear for a long time and be happy to wear it day or night :-)

Chanel No 5 gives you an amazing feeling.....like you are the most beautiful woman in the world. No wonder Marilyn Munroe wore it and nothing else to bed.

I know exactly how you feel hun, my ex is now with a girl 20 years his junior and he lives so local to me and goes everywhere I go, I saw her not so long ago wearing the exact same coat he bought me and even though it cost over £100 went home and threw mine away lol
Not sure what it is..I definitely have moved on and feelings are just not there..but it is just weird and I cant explain it..hun, get the perfume YOU like and f her ..;-)

Yeah the appeal of the perfume I wanted just isn't there now... funny how something little can put you right off :-) silly thing is she's actually really nice... it's the thought of him just puts me lol

Oh, just buy it - he's only done it to spite you. And remember she HAS to wear it to disguise her smell and you will be wearing it to enhance; subtle but big difference methinks:)

Get the Hypnose or even the original Ghost makes you feel err too gorgeous, if you do not want him back, then he is so not worthy of you, but if you wanna smell good go for one of these, they suit peeps with a taste of the oriental, deep sensuous(possible spelt wrong) and moody.

lol god knows I'm a woman and I don't understand and not even trying to lol... maybe like finding out a coat or something you've always wanted, your ex wife just bought for her new partner? Perfume is a bit more personal though, doesn't it remind you of people when you smell it?

assuming you're a man that is...

peoples scent mixed with their perfume makes it all smell subtly different, I can't say what an ex does annoys me that I change my likes/dislikes.......then again my mates say I'm weird but well grounded :-D

Guess every one is different - and sometimes it is okay to go with instincts and aversions and I certainly have one against this perfume now :-) hence the post lol

Im a bloke and a damn fine specimen as you can tell - I really like allure (normal not the sensual ) also Nina Ricci 'Nina' and Calvin Klein Euphoria Blossom

lol I'm not insecure nor weird lol... I would be stalking him now or doing something else weird (sorry can't think of anything weird to say lol) We still speak regularly (we have children), his new girlfriend is really lovely and I feel no jealousy as I don't love him anymore... like I said it's just an aversion that I have and if I'm going to spend a lot of money on a perfume then I want it to be one I love, not one that reminds me of my ex and his girlfriend lol. Pretty normal I think :-)
#31
and I'm also making a large list of perfumes to try out tomorrow - thanks everyone :-)
