Bon Jovi @ The O2. Have you seen the prices?

I saw that Bon Jovi have announced a residency at the O2 :)
Even better, the O2 presale has started :)
Then I saw the prices....
£45 to £200 for standard seats, going up to £1100 for packages, all excluding booking fees. In fact, some of the £200 seats only get you lower tier seating. I really want to go, but now I have no idea what to do. Even the £100 seats are showing as the far side of the stadium. There is no standing, and no golden circles...which I wasnt sure of at £75 last time.
Hopefully some better seats will emerge for the same price once the tickets go on general sale?

ooh hadn't heard they were doing anything. are there any more venues?

last time we went to southampton to see them it was a bit disapointing, over priced, no support band and to be honest as much as I love them (have been to 4 concerts) they don't really put on much of a show

would still be tempted though ;-)

What a rip-off ! I hate bands and artists that charge these ridiculous amounts for seats - especially as things are at the moment, how on earth are ordinary folk supposed to see the gigs they want to see at these prices ?!

Thank goodness I saw them years ago lol as there is no way I would pay these prices no matter who they are. This is just pure greed and there is no excuse for it. I would rather not bother than support anyone who was trying to rip me off to this extent.

The official blurb is that the o2 residency is kicking off the tour, and that there are no other european dates.
However, the blurb also says that the tour will last around 16 months and 30 countries, so I would not be surprised to see them come back to other UK venues in 2011 towards the end of the tour.

I went to Soton and then Twickenham for £10... We both enjoyed them , or else we wouldnt be wanting to go again :)

don't get me wrong, we had a good time. but in terms of vfm its not great, was tempted to do twickenham for a tennor too but couldn't justify it ;-)

saw pink for same price and really put on a good show, mind you bon jovi in a gold suit at wembley was pretty good too :-D

how did you get into pre sale tickets, is it through o2? my sis is with 02, how would she go about geting the code?

have always enjoyed standing tickets before, not sure seated is for me really, have done it before and you always feel bad standing if people behind don't, especially at top of 02, its scary!

think I will keep my fingers crossed that they add more dates later, thanks for the heads up though

They just advertised it in the adverts on X Factor btw...
I just looked up the £65 plus fee tickets..and it was behind the stage,,
WTF

prices are UTTERLY crazy for bon jovi-so they are charging MORE than michael jackson did? MORE than whitney? MORE than springsteen? 200 quid is more than most 3 day festivals!!

I dont hate them-they are ok although they certainly arent the force they once were but these prices are insane!
#11
lol yeah I saw the advert too!

65 for behind the stage??? that is really ridiculous, take that were selling side of stage at o2 for 25!

thats it then, mind made up I'm not paying for it.
also btw soton tickets were selling on ebay for around 20 last time, maybe will get lucky and find a bargain closer to the time

I will still buy them if I can find a decent deal when it goes general sale. Otherwise I will do like what you suggest (keep an eye out on ebay for the honest person who just wants to sell quickly).

Got mine!! Soooooooo excited. I am guessing the prices have gone up, as last year they were named as the worlds most successful touring band.....ever! I have coughed up £170 for our seats on June 7th. Expensive, but I love 'em. Plus it's mine and hubs' 40th next year, so it's happy birthday to us!

WOOPWOOPWOOP!! :-D
#14
Well done. Have you got good seats though? Where are you sitting? :)
#15
The red A seats. Mega chuffed. Lower teir.
#16
The Red A block is floor seating. I thought they were the £100 - £200 each seating.
Did you buy them today? Or did you get in nice and quick?:)

I've seen these 14 times now over the years.

Think i'll give it a miss this year though as they haven't done a decent studio album for about 17 years now since Keep The Faith.

I havent seen the prices but i spent enough time staring at those oh-so-tight pants/tghts/trousers whatever you wanna call em, when I was a kid................lol

If you want a great rock'n'roll show ... £18.50 to see Bowling For Soup last night was a stunning deal. A band that really knows how to have fun with themselves and the audience.

But a minimum of £45 for a ticket? I don't care how much I'd want to see a and that's too much.

Got them last night. Said I wanted the best seats for £75, and that's what I got. I think it's behind those that are £100-£200 each. Close enough for me, although his lap would be infinately better!;-)

I lied as well! They are in section BK 103, row K. Still, it's as close as I can afford. :-D
