Boot Fairs - Have you had one lately?

Mum2ConnornCerysMum2ConnornCerys

Ok there another bank holiday later on this month and my partners Mum said she drive me to boot fair on the Sunday, get me & my Mum dropped off and pick me back up when finished.

Just wondering if anyone had one lately and how much did you make, that kind of thing,if it was busy,as I not had 1 for about a decade now,and it's been nearly almost as long since I been to one.Back then some of the really large ones with 200 stalls or so used to be really packed, plenty people buying.

I have a fair bit, odds and ends, just the usual used family stuff, mainly items worth £1 or under, have even sold a few bits here and there over on this site, but it's getting time to sort stuff out etc,be easier to bundle it all up and just sell at a boot fair maybe.

I'm happy with making say £25 after pitch fee.

A friend of mine had 1 last month and got just over £100!

Mt sister in law did a Car Boot fair a few weeks ago and made £400. There are a couple of very large car booties in the South of England. Canford Magna & Ashley Heath are massive, esp around Bank Hols!

ive done 2 recently and made about £90 on each one. It's the 50p items that add up, and you dont realise you've sold them either.

I would suggest finding a quiet booty, as busy ones tend to be a lot more competitive with prices, people haggling and keeping hold of their money longer as 'theyve only just arrived' and 'theres lots more to see yet' The quiet ones are always the best in my opinion.

Yes I found that when I did one about a decade ago,we come away with £80 after pitch fees.

Well the 1 at Sandwich would be most easiest to get to,it's not my car so I'm going take any1 I can get to really with regards to your other post about going to smaller one.

the other week some couple was just opening the boot of the car and they all jumped in there and were arguing over the stuff lol

if anyone goes in my car i just tell them to F off usually does the trick or i shut the boot till they go away and get one thing out at a time.

Its mainly the eastern europeans that are all over you like a tramps coat, ive seen them fight each other for stuff makes me lol

cant stand it when a lot of them want everything for 20p!!!!!

omg, I swear you sound exactly like my husband lol

He told me last time they did a boot sale a Romanian woman picked up armfuls of toys and said to him "20p?". He hasn't done another one since then as I don't think it would be safe for the country lol
